QA Manager & Cost Controller for Chowking Restaurant, UAE



    Nationality: India/ Filipino

    Quality Assurance Manager
      • creates Quality Assurance programs and activities
      • monitors the continuous quality improvement of products and processes
      • evelops and implements sampling & testing (physical, microbial) procedures for finished products and incoming raw materials
      • erforms troubleshooting on quality problems and collaborates with other departments on troubleshooting methods
      • coordinates with Warehouse Managers with regards to the condition of the storage areas, products stores and recommends QA measures
      • coordinates with Logistics Manager on matters related to quality of the outgoing products and deviations incurred by trucker/loader/unloaders based on the result of the evaluation of affected areas
      • leads in the formation, implementation and monitoring of Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Sanitation Operation Procedures and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points programs
      • manages operating expenses and budget of the department
      • conducts plant visit to evaluate the suppliers' FSC standards
      • initiates periodic job-out suppliers' audit to ensure compliance with standards
      • coordinates with Operations and R&D on matters related to quality such as RSS products and when necessary visits the complaining stores
      • communicates with the Commissary Manager regarding updates on standards and quality checkpoints for imported goods aligning to main Commissary procedures
      • maintains an up-to-date records on modifications of manufacturing procedures
      • evaluates critical control points in the processing operations and recommends measures to minimize/eliminate rejection
      • deals with the government regulatory agencies in relation to technical matters
      • keeps abreast of relevant developments in quality control/assurance and continues training as needed
      • prepares quality assurance reports and other documents that may be required from time to time

    • Minimum Requirements:

      • Experience: 3-5 years work experience as a Quality Assurance Officer/Manager in a leading food service and/or food manufacturing establishment preferably with related work experience
      • Education: Diploma (Chemistry, Microbiology) / degree on Food Technology, Nutrition and/or Chemistry
      • Nationality: Indian, Filipino
      • Industry Type: FMCG, Restaurants / Catering / Food Service / Beverages
      • Functional Area: Quality / Testing / QA / QC / Inspector
      • Salary Range: (commensurate to skills and experience)

      F&B Cost Controller
        Job Responsibilities: 
        • Prepares, recommends, audits, analyzes, consolidate & reports all costs and pricing related to Food, Manufacturing, Production, Paper & Packaging & Operational Supplies.

        Minimum Requirements: 
        • Experience: 4-9 years
        • Education: Diploma (Accountancy, Finance)
        • Nationality: Indian, Filipino
        • Industry Type: FMCG / Restaurants / Catering / Food Service
        • Functional Area: Costing, Cost Controller, Accounting Systems
        • Salary Range: 4000 AED 5000 AED (commensurate to skills and experience)
        • Benefits: Sales Incentive, Annual Tickets

      • Additional Requirements: 
        • With excellent English Communication skills
        • With a degree in Accountancy with good scholastic records in a reputable school; with advanced studies, an advantage
        • Experience in the Middle East is an advantage
        • Computer savvy
        • With relevant Accounting and F&B Cost Control experience for at least 4 years
        • With knowledge and understanding of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
        • With extensive knowledge in Cost Management involving the following-
        1. Central Kitchen/Commissary Manufacturing Set-up
        2. Restaurant and Catering
        3. Menu Engineering
        4. New recipe pricing and batch production pricing
        5. Yield rationalization
        6.  Food Cost and Variance Analysis
        7. MIS Reporting
        8. Store / Outlet MTD/YTD reports
        9. Central Kitchen / Commissary / Manufacturing Yield Management
        10. Demand Forecasting
