Good Experience in developing framework such as Core Java, J2ee, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JQuery, Java Scripts. 
Strong command over DBMS & RDBMS SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL 
Strong written and oral communication skills. Should have the ability to express their design ideas and thoughts.

Core Java 1.6+ ,JEE (Servlets, JSPs, JSTL),Tomcat 6.x 
Spring MVC or JSR Portlet 
Testing JUnit and/or TestNG, TDD 
Spring Security (Good to have)
WebServices -> experience integrating with 3rd party SOAP APIs 
JSON/Ajax (building services the front end can consume, having some front end experience here is a bonus).
