Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanics (CAT) is accountable for the safe execution of all maintenance activities across heavy and medium mobile equipment, continuous cross-shift performance, the establishment and maintenance of area standards, and the delivery of agreed objectives in areas of work management
Purpose of the position:
Responsible for the maintenance and servicing of mechanical equipment within the Mining Mobile Fleet.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
Responsible for maximizing the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimizing the impact of unscheduled works.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment and performance expectations in relation to various CAT Equipment Maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of PM, maintenance and repair procedures relating to CAT equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of tooling for maintenance and repairs.
- Advanced knowledge of TA1 & TA2 equipment inspection/testing
- Advanced knowledge of Failure Analysis (Level1 & 2)
- A working proficiency of Microsoft Office suite.
- An advanced working proficiency of CAT supporting systems( SIS, ET, VIMS)
- Exposure to the challenges of operating in remote mine sites
- Fluent in English.
Qualifications: education, complementary training (s)
- Technical diploma in heavy equipment electrical maintenance or similar from recognized Training Institution
- Certification from recognised OEM or Dealers in equipment maintenance/repairs
10+ years experience
