Required Laundry Checker/ Laundry Marker/ Washer/ Garment Presser/ Wool Presser-Finisher/ Dry Cleaner for Saudi Arabia

Qualifications: Minimum of a high school degree; Strong command of English and Arabic (both oral and written);

Experience : At least 2 year of experience in the same function

Laundry Checker

Laundry Marker 

1.   Ensure all items are sorted, counted and marked correctly

2.   Receive guest laundry and dry cleaning and check the items against the list submitted by guest

3.   Count and verify all items as per the laundry and dry cleaning lists and record collection, delivery times and special message

4.   Sort out, segregate and check items prior to marking

5.   Ensure items are ready for delivery at the specified times

6.   Responsible for any missing items and mishandled guest articles

7.   Report immediately any guest valuables / items found in pockets of clothes sent to laundry

8.   Keep work area clean and tidy

9.   Ensure proper operation and care of machinery in the laundry

10. Answer telephone, record guest calls in the logbook

11. Assist in inventories and attend all trainings as informed and scheduled.

Washer

1.   checking items before washing for damage or stains

2.   using water and chemicals to remove stains before processing

3.   sorting items according to color, size and type of fabric

4.   tagging items with bar codes or computer chips for easy identification

5.   loading items into machines

6.   adding cleaning agents and setting controls

7.   finishing items by drying, pressing and folding

8.   processing orders, sending out invoices and updating customer databases

9.   delivering laundered items back to the customer

Garment Presser

Wool Presser - Finisher

Dry Cleaner

1.   Pushes and pulls iron over surface of article, according to type of fabric.

2.   Adjusts temperature of iron, according to fabric type, and uses covering cloths to prevent scorching or sheen on delicate fabrics.

3.   Fits odd-shaped pieces which cannot be pressed flat over puff iron.

4.   Smoothest and shapes fabric prior to pressing.

5.   Measures fabric to specifications, cuts uneven edges with shears, folds material, and presses with iron to form heading.

6.   Pins, folds, and hangs article after pressing.
