- As the company's technical specialist, this function primarily provides internal expertise tothe company, to monitor (often at a contractor's facilities), supervise, direct, record, coordinate& optimise the most appropriate maintenance, repair & overhaul of heat exchangers. He also oversees the running ofthe CTS, Ice & water facility, the day to dayadministration of the Workshops facility & the Building Trade section.
Job Summary:
To perform safe and effective preventive maintenance routines on Instrumentation & Control equipment as generated by the EMP AC maintenance management system and in line with the principles and procedures laid down in the Instrument Maintenance strategies and procedures.
To carry out effective, safe, effective and timely repairs to Instrumentation & Control equipment that has failed.
To carry out Quality Assurance (QA) calibrations on Instrumentation & Control equipment to ensure that accuracy meets customer requirements.
To carry out functional and calibration checks on Instrumentation & Control equipment to ensure safety of companys personnel and integrity of plant.
To ensure effective recording of work done to satisfy Section, Departmental and QA Metrics.
Contribute to the development of trainees by "on the job" training.
To play an active part in the safety culture and HSE activities within the section.
Job Requirements:
Must have attained a minimum level of National Diploma in Instrumentation and Control
Served a recognised apprenticeship.
Have at least two years post apprenticeship experience in general instrumentation maintenance in the Hydrocarbon Processing Industry.
English level should be a minimum of 4.2.
The work required of the incumbent is of a highly technical nature and requires a good understanding of instrumentation and control principles, theory and practical applications.
