Warehouse Supervisor (night shift)

Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the planning and supervision of receiving, handling, storing and issuing of stocks. He/she has to ensure that the inventory is handled and stored according to inventory management standards, safety standards and food quality standards. 

Key accountabilities:

Operations 
• Plan the daily distribution of resources and supervise warehouse staff to ensure safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse.
• Supervise inbound and outbound shipments & customer deliveries to ensure they are carried out accurately and on time. • Develop work schedules and assignments to assure effective operation and maximize warehouse staff productivity and storage efficiency. 

Stock Accuracy and Inventory Management 
• Ensure accurate documentation of received and dispatched goods to maintain stock accuracy. 
• Ensure that all inventory transactions are accurately updated on the Warehouse Management System. 
• Conduct regular cycle counts with the Warehouse team and support inventory audits 

Storage and handling of goods:
• Ensure that products are stored in the designated locations and that warehouse damages are limited. 
• Ensure that Warehouse space is utilized at utmost efficiency • Supervise the picking and loading operations to ensure that products are picked and loaded on time, in the right quantity and with right quality. 

Control safety, security and maintenance: 
• Ensure all safety procedures and policies are followed. 
• Conduct regular trainings for Warehouse staff on safety and security procedures to eliminate accidents and pilferage.

 3-5 years’ experience as Warehouse Supervisor or a similar role;
 At least 2 years’ experience in an FMCG or Food company;
 Excellent knowledge of WMS; 
 Good managerial skills and proven track record of supervising warehouse staff; 
 Customer Service Oriented; 
 Strong planning and organizing skills; 
 Good problem solving skills;
 High level of ownership and initiative;
