    HVAC design engineers perform various job duties based on the design and size of the heating, cooling and ventilation projects they work on, the type of property where HVAC systems are needed as per the requirement of the customers.

    Role Requirements:
      
    Joining the company as a Design Engineer, you will be responsible design/optimization/validation of the equipment to including selection of size, configuration, options, etc. of the HVAC equipment by reviewing the plans, specifications, original estimate and proposal. This position is responsible for delivering project design assignments within time and budget parameters while satisfying client contracts.

    To Perform this job successfully, an individual must perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
    • Design and plan layouts of equipment, duct, and piping systems.
    • Drive the development of HVAC design from initial concept through construction drawing.
    • Application engineering including but not limited to Sequence of operations, load calculations, psychometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and temperature control systems.
    • Prepare project estimates for design, equipment, installation, labour, materials, and other related costs.
    • Review and approve contractor bids, RFIs, submittals, and change requests.
    • Evaluating possible cost savings and/or cost problems that will occur on various Engineering and design issues
    • Engages in several levels of field engineering, assisting with project execution, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and commissioning.
    • Validates project scope by reviewing documents, plans and specs; listing possible cost savings and problems; and validating quantities and configurations
    • Support sales, project managers, and service department for all engineering related issues from project inception through closeout and warranty Client liaison.
    • Load calculations, design and layout of equipment, duct and piping systems
    • Optimizes expenses by negotiating prices with vendors for materials
    • Obtains and validates sub-contractors submittals
    • Proficiency with building codes
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit

    Other requirements
    • 3+ years practical experience within the HVAC industry
    • Qualifications as a Mechanical Engineer
    • Sound electrical knowledge
    • Maintains competitive advantage and stays abreast of industry trends
    • Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken
    • Conscientious, reliable team player
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including a high level of written English
    • Good Communications Skills, both written and verbal
    • Commercially astute
    • Full clean driving License
