Procurement Engineer for Kuwait

B .E Mech (4 yrs Full Time) qualified from NBA approved college


Experience Required 

Minimum 10-12 years of working experience in the field of Project Procurement & Expediting related to EPC Projects in Oil & Gas sectors like Chemical, Petrochemical and Refinery projects. 

Job responsibilities: 

Enquiry Document preparation and Floating Enquiries to Approved Manufacturers/Suppliers inline to the Material Requisition (MR) & project related QC requirements. 


Solicitation of offers, further follow-up of TQ responses & thorough knowledge of all activities pertaining to Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).  


Commercial Bid Evaluation & carry out relevant negotiation with Suppliers to meet budget value & delivery schedule. Purchase Order processing and Expediting of Vendor documents and material delivery. 


Basic knowledge of Rotating / Static equipment, Package equipment.  


Capable of product or service specification interpretation and generate specification & cost comparison analysis Co-ordination with Vendors / Client for Pre-Inspection Meeting. 


Co-ordination with QC dept / TPI Agent for Material Inspection. Co-ordination with Shipping & Logistics Agent and ensure timely delivery of materials at site so that the overall project schedule shall be maintained. 


Verifying and ensuring that all Purchase Orders and its Terms and conditions are met to the originator.  


Thorough knowledge on LC, Bank guarantee and other commercial instruments involved in supply chain. 


Well versed with INCOTERMS. Preparing monthly progress report including detailed analysis of the activities.  


Review, negotiate and settle vendors contractual claims, prepare variation orders and payment certificates.  


Settlement of final accounts with supplier Preparing and managing all project correspondence, technical submittals, RFQs, method statements and maintaining document control procedures. 


Support Vendor audit/qualification and periodic assessment procedures.  


Monitor Vendor quality, pricing and delivery issues and alerting Vendors for resolution. 


Maintain purchasing and Vendor performance data 

Other Qualities: 

Minimum 03 years of experience in EPC Project as management representative for Project procurement activities involving client management. Minimum 02 years of experience in purchase of Process / Package equipment. At least 03 years of experience in sourcing Project bulk materials (Pipe, Fittings, Valves etc) Knowledge about KNPC/KOC standards / SHELL DEP requirements. Excellent communication skills, problem defining & solving capabilities. Good academic credentials. Proficiency in MS Office Packages (Especially Excel, Word, Access) Primavera Knowledge will be an added advantage. Knowledge of ISO procedures & practices. 

Salary     : 700-800 KD + Bachelor Accommodation


Duration : 2 years


Vacation : yearly 1 month
