Solar Engineer / Solar Supervisor for Power Mech Projects Ltd., UAE

1. Plan and coordinate installations of photovoltaic (PV) solar and solar thermal systems to ensure conformance to codes
2. Coordinate or schedule building inspections for solar installation projects 
3. Provide technical assistance to installers, technicians, or other solar professionals in areas such as solar electric systems, solar thermal systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems 
4. Prepare solar installation project proposals, quotes, budgets, or schedules 
5. Develop and maintain system architecture, including all piping, instrumentation, or process flow diagrams        
6. Supervise solar installers, technicians, and subcontractors for solar installation projects to ensure compliance with safety standards     
     
7. Responsible for all safety aspects at the site, including Safety Walks in the field.
8. Responsible for all QC activity on site, performing QC Assessments of work by Technicians.
9. Responsible for data collection, work order processing, and summary reports.
10. Responsible for providing general supervision & development of all employees at the site.
11. Use technical knowledge and experience to optimize site performance.
12. Determine daily schedules and assignments for work activities, including execution.
13. Manage on site technicians, including contractors.
14. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
15. Monitor tool and part inventories.
16. Investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare reports of findings.
17. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, improvements, and discharges.
18. Determine and manage maintenance schedules.
19. Communicate daily activities to the customer through daily, weekly, monthly reports.
20. Conduct themselves in a professional manner.
21. Provides guidance, training and direction to subordinates, including setting site and individual goals, and performance standards.
22. Create and complete Service Orders and Purchase Requisitions.
23. Act in the long-term interest of the customer.
24. All other job duties as assigned by Project Manager and/or his or her designee.

Qualifications:  

• 3-5 years' experience working in the renewable-energy industry.    
• A minimum of 1-year current or previous experience in a supervisory capacity preferred
• Experience working with current solar technology preferred.
• Some computer experience required, creating spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Software Programs and SAP
