Job Title: Electrical Forensic Engineer
Requirements:
- Minimum experience of 4 years
- Valid driving license who can drive ( not only possessing the driving license)
- Preference will be given to Engineer those having working exp. in UAE, Oman Or other Overseas countries.
- Technically Sound
- Speaks & Writes Good English
- Contract for 2 years
- Selected Engineer should commence Immediately after the interview process.(Visa Process will take max. 45 days)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
(A)BASIC FUNCTION OF ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC ENGINEER
1) Exposure to different cases which may include fire, engineering, vehicle & explosion. All this depends on the type of cases assigned to us.
2) Investigate electrical failures in medium, high & extra high voltage ranges including transmission cables, switchgear equipment, uninterruptible power supply units, induction motors, turbine generators, distribution power, generators, uninterruptable power supply, earthing & lightning protection system and battery system.
3) Electrical inspection ranges from High voltage to low voltage substations including Testing & maintenance of electrical installation up to 33KV
4) Insulation test, dead phasing and pressure test
5) Locating cable fault
6) HV current transformer test (magnetizing curve test, polarity check test, insulation resistance test, ratio test)
7) Checking of transformers including core lamination, copper, press board, insulation materials, tank & all accessories equipment
8) Investigate failures in the design, installation and maintenance of electrical systems
9) Test electronic components
10) Conduct damage assessment and assessment for the purpose of restoration and repairs of equipment and machines
11) Prepare analytical reports with established failure mode and mechanisms, root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
12) Review reports of consultants for completeness and accuracy
13) Provide expert testimony in courts of law
14) Be accountable, take ownership and follow through cases with minimum supervision
15) Provide technical training and support marketing activities
16) Encourage teamwork, build consensus and always work in the best interest of Approved Group Internationals Vision, Mission and Core Values
17) To be on standby 24/7 and willing to travel overseas
(B)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF FORENSIC:
Upon being assigned a case youre required to
Identify type of case and prepare the required resources
Request for relevant case details from relevant parties including loss adjusters and insurers
Read instructions, review available information and conduct online research prior to site visit
(C) Investigate and manage cases including;
Interview witness/es
Document the site, including photography and video (as required)
Collect and treat evidence as required
Compile relevant information
Discuss case with loss adjusters, insurers, fellow consultants/directors
Research for further information
(D) Report Writing and Case Presentation:
Main Activities but not limited to:
Produce reports using AGs formatting, font and spacing, as decided by management and in accordance with the Quality Management System.
Produce a progress report before the 7 day after site visit.
Produce a draft final report which is to be reviewed by the Chief Forensic Consultant for technical review
Present the case to colleagues, loss adjusters and insurer
Produce a final report within 30 days after receiving all relevant information
Produce an interim report within 30 days of site visit, stating the causation (if Final Report is not ready with the 30-day period).
All reports Must be administratively, and peer reviewed prior to the mailing of the report
(E) OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY
Ensure that appropriate personal protection equipment is worn by all staff at sites
(F) COMMUNICATION
Ensure a constant flow of information (communication frequency as per SOP) between team members, client & management, both orally and in writing
(G) MANAGEMENT:
Keep management informed on case progress and case management
Provide required information on cases and present cases to management (when requested).
Keep directors informed on statistical breakdown on cases.
attend and brief management monthly by formal reports on team performance every week
(H) LEADERSHIP:
Lead the planning prior and during site visit
Mentor, nurture and provide on job training to team members
Plan and execute the investigation and provide guidance to team members
Debrief the team after the scene visit, highlighting the correct and incorrect actions and procedures
Discuss cases with team members
