Mechanical Engineer for Saudi Arabia

 We have a vacancy for the post of mechanical Engineer for Saudi for Steel pipe manufacturing industry

1. Purpose:

• To supervise the mechanical maintenance jobs (both breakdown and new

installations) throughout the plant & providing the technical guidance to the

subordinate staff.

2. Responsibility:

• To report to the Senior Mechanical Engineer with regard to daily

 activities and the Maintenance Manager with regard to specific

 activities as requested.

3. Authority:

• To sign Material Requisition, RIR after inspection, project maintenance

reports, PM reports, Pass out slips of technicians

4. Main Tasks:

• Monitor the performance and production availability of all machines.

• Co-ordinate with production with regard to the availability of machines for

maintenance purposes.

• Ensure the maintenance foreman has drawings, documents, equipment and

spare-parts necessary for effective work.

• Ensure safe working practices are employed.

• Provide technical guidance on mechanical maintenance issues.

• Submit a copy of the Maintenance Shift Log to the Senior Mechanical

Engineer with appended notes regarding items of concern and to draw the

attention of the Senior Mechanical Engineer to such items.

• Obtain routine preventative maintenance check sheets from the Assistant

Maintenance Manager at the start of the day and return these upon

completion at the end of day.

• To communicate safety and other company and departmental instructions

and guidance to the foreman and technicians

5. Other Tasks:

• To maintain an overall awareness of the machinery operation and possible

defects.

• To advise the Senior Mechanical Engineer of suggestions for improvements

to maintenance procedures, machine efficiency and safety.

6. Minimum Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• More than 10 years in similar position in ERW or LSAW steel pipe

manufacturing company

• Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral.

• Excellent skills in computer (Office, AutoCAD
