Assistant Branch Sales Manager for Avis Car Rentals, Malawi

 Responsible for territory specific business strategy creation and its implementation. Responsible For business operations in a defined territory, covering pre identified markets.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible to manage branch operations and team members.
  • Responsible to monitor vehicle conditions and action refuelling process.
  • Report any branch issues to relevant departments.
  • Responsible for achieving revenue target for the branch.
  • Responsible for identifying & acquiring new clients.
  • Handling corporate presentations and finalising the deals / contracts through the guidance of senior manager.
  • Responsible for organic growth by maintaining healthy relationship with the existing corporate clients.
  • Ensure retention of clients.
  • Cold calls as appropriate within geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation.
  • Review of receivables, monitoring & controlling of outstanding.
  • Regular monitoring; feedback of service quality from customer.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Must have minimum junior and secondary level education. Any other diploma or degree in sales and marketing will be an advantage.
  • 3 years (experience must be recent and not old) in car rentals (preference) .
  • Must be sales oriented.
  • Must have knowledge of customer service and enthusiasm to satisfy clients.
  • Must be able to respond to any customer enquiries and complains.
  • Must be able to abide to Avis Policies
  • Must have upselling skills to acquire more revenue
  • Must have a driving license.
  • Must be able to attend to any bookings and requirements and any time of the day / night.
  • Must have time management skills.
  • Must have reporting skills.
  • Must be able to work and support senior managers and some their core activities.
  • Must have admin and paperwork skills
