Conveyor Technician for United Projects for Aviation Services, Kuwait

United Projects for Aviation Services Company (UPAC) has been established in 2000, publicly listed on Boursa Kuwait, and headquartered in Kuwait, UPAC is a leading commercial real estate and facilities management company with a specialization in Build Operate Transfer (BOT) initiatives. Its services cover project management and consultancy, real estate development as well as property and facilities management. UPAC manages over 24,000 sqm of commercial space at the Kuwait International Airport, Sheikh Saad Terminal and other prominent locations within the country 


Conveyor technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance according to the predefined maintenance schedule. Carry out corrective maintenance upon the request of the service receiver. Control or tend conveyors or conveyor systems that move materials or products to and from stockpiles, processing stations, departments, or vehicles.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Shall manage the complete BHS system
  • Shall maintain the lighting system, tunnel, and sorting conveyor area.
  • Shall repair and adjusts conveyor systems, using hand tools: Install belts in machinery, tighten bolts, adjust tension rolls, straighten parts, align rollers, and replace defective parts.
  • Shall conduct daily inspections on the conveyor systems and conduct periodic maintenance checks for conveyor systems to ensure functionality.
  • Repair dysfunctional conveyor systems and related units.
  • Change spare parts as and when needed.
  • Work as team leader to get tasks achieved on time.
  • Log all duties performed on the daily logbook.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as and when needed.
  • Receive calls from control room and/or the direct supervisor to conduct any needed repairs.
  • Follow all proper operational procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Notify the direct supervisor on emergency events.
  • Adhere to UPAC code of conduct, Health & Safety at Work.
  • Ensure application of health and safety policies in personal equipment, work environment, and with other staff members.
  • Cover the workload
  • Any other related duties/projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.
  • To adhere to the UPACs policies and procedures and to be accountable for following and implementing the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental international standards (QHSE) which are related to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • Shall be accountable for HSE activities related to his/her workplace.
  • Shall ensure to follow HSE-related legal compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • ITI/ Diploma in Electrical and Electronic certification or equivalent, with 2 - 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical (power and control) systems.
  • Shall Manage the complete BHS system, especially electrical and electronic control system of PLC.
