Designation: Corrugated Carton Plant Supervisor
Location: Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania)
Education: Industrial Training Certificate / Diploma in relation to mechanical or electrical engineering.
Job Description:
- Supervise the production of Corrugated Cardboard Boxes of 3 & 5 Ply, upholding the quality and standards of all work floor activities.
- Responsible for the supervision and people management of staff as per company standards.
- Ensure cartons are produced as per the specifications provided.
- Inspect the plant prior to commencement of any operation work activities.
- Conduct ongoing workplace inspections, safeguarding against unsafe or hazardous operating conditions.
- Performs the setting up of the machines and manipulates it to operational position.
- Responsible for production output, complete the assigned task and reporting.
- Plan and implement the plant preventative maintenance to ensure equipment are in full operation.
- With the help of maintenance department, oversees all major repair work to the plant and performs minor repair work.
- Responsible for all production record keeping, ensuring that record is kept of a 100% of all plant activities.
- Ensures that all tasks are performed in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Desired profile:
- At least 10 years’ of experience in Automatic corrugated plant. Out of that minimum 3 years in supervisory level.
- Good Knowledge about the entire production process of corrugated carton making Experience to handle 5 Ply automatic corrugators
- Experience in four colour flexor printer slotter Die cuter / inline box maker
- Knowledge about paper grades and its characteristics.
- Knowledge in Paper combinations and its values
- Knowledge in basic tests and normal values of paper, Board & Box.
- Experience in Flexor inks and its shades
- Working experience with an ISO certified company will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge in Basic computer operation & Report generation
- Experience in Proof Reading & Sample approval
- Good communication skill in English
