We have an urgent requirement for the post of Technical Engineer in Qatar
Position : Technical Engineer
Location : Doha
Education: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineer
Experience : 8 to 10 years of work experience in Civil Engineering, Quality assurance and Quality control
Strong IT Skills.
GCC valid driving license will be added advantage.
Specialization:
1. Review Project Specifications, Drawings and Bill of Quantity to identify all Engineering requirements for the Project.
2. Compiles and monitors tracking schedules for all Engineering requirements.
3. Ensuring that all shop drawing work is completed to the highest standard.
4. Ensuring that working processes (planning, development, documentation, etc.) are efficient & adhered to schedule.
5. Ensuring suitable communication/updates are being provided to internal and external clients on Project status.

6. Obtain NOC’s for work where required, in conjunction with PRO’s/Liaison Officers at Head Office/Sites.
7. To provide technical input to Planning Department/Project Manager/Contracts Manager in
finalizing/preparing contract program.
8. Initiate Material Requisitions required for execution of the Project.
9. Evaluate the technical submissions from suppliers for all the major materials required for the Project and prepare material submittals for submission to Engineer/Client.
10. Prepare and submit work notifications to Engineer/Client for all new activities on a Project.
11.Review contract drawings and prepare a list of shop drawings for accuracy/compliance to contract
requirements prior to submission for approval.
12. Provide details to draftsmen for shop drawings and review the shop drawings for accuracy/compliance to contract requirements prior to submission for approval.
13. Review all Subcontractor technical submittals prior to submission for Engineer/Client approval.
14. Review and approval of overtime sheets for all Projects.
15. Prepare Monthly Projects Reports for submission to Senior Management and Engineer/Client.
16. Monitor the procurement schedule and coordinate with Purchase Department and Stores on delivery of long-lead, critical and bulk materials.
17. Be able to recognize potential problems and action them before they become critical. Ensure timely submission of all information to Costing Department to meet Reporting Timetable, particularly on labor, plant and machinery.
