- Responsibilities:
To maintain trouble free operation of all the machinery related to refrigeration and air-conditioning which includes Blast Freezers, Cold Stores, Chill rooms, air conditioners, cooling towers etc..
Responsible for the installation and commissioning of Freon based refrigeration plants including freezers, cold rooms, chillers, ice plants , reefer containers and air-conditioners in co-ordination with the Engineers.
Role
An excellent Technical know-how with HANDS ON experience in trouble shooting / Repairs and maintenance of all types of refrigeration plants and also electrical control boards .
Ability to handle operations and maintenance of all the Refrigeration equipments, Freezers, Chillers, Ice plants, Reefer Containers. Also to handle new projects for installation and commissioning of Freon based refrigeration plants for blast freezers, cold store, chill rooms , ice plants etc.
Ability to work independently and also to supervise and control the engineering staffs.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical control diagrams, operating and maintenance instruction manuals, flow diagrams etc.
Ability to perform tasks using the proper tools and gadgets used for the industrial / commercial refrigeration plants
- Duties/Tasks
Trouble shooting and maintenance of Freon based refrigeration plants for Blast Freezers, Chillers, ice plants and Cold stores, reefer containers etc., identify problems in these areas, collect information, reviewing and implementing solution, arranging all the required spare parts.
Performing all the jobs related to the installation and commissioning of Freon based commercial refrigeration plants and also other process machineries related to food processing and cold storage facilities.
Prepare and maintain a well-documented maintenance programs with proper scheduling, checklists and also spare parts management for the plants and machines.
Proper usage/operation of power tools, hand tools, oxy acetylene cylinders (MIG welding) equipment in maintenance and repair, including use of volt meter, clamp amp meter, refrigerant charging gauges, vacuum analyser, vacuum pump and refrigerant reclaim equipment.
Lead the team of Maintenance on works during machine breakdown in co-ordination with the factory engineer and the production team with minimized production time loss
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities with proper preventive maintenance schedules followed for the machines in the designated areas of processing with proper procedures of corrective maintenance, calibration of production machines and equipments
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of the machinery during production
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Read and interpret blue prints, schematics and control wiring diagrams
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electrical/electronic meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Supervises installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment and system in the facility. Analyze and provide a plan and review the performance to ensure conformance with established method, policies and procedures.
Spare Parts Management in co-ordination with procurement and factory engineer
Any other duties assigned by Management.
Ensure compliance of OHS Policies at all times.
