- Has experience of managing a technical team.
- IBM System Z hardware knowledge.
- 10 years plus working as an IBM Mainframe Systems Programmer.
- Systems Programming skills in z/OS, CICS, Websphere MQ, VTAM, TCPIP and SMP/E.
- Systems programming skills related to third party products from Computer Associates, Innovation Data, Macro4 and Mackinney.
- Knowledge and experience of using s390 assembler, COBOL, REXX, JCL and LE/370.
- Knowledge of large COBOL/CICS and Batch VSAM applications (i.e. Vision Plus).
- Has knowledge of common regulatory and industry standards related to the financial services industry such as PCI, ISO 27001 and ITIL.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work unsupervised is essential
