    Position: Sales Specialist - Software and Cloud Solutions
    Work location: Port Moresby or Lae, Papua New Guinea

    Education: Graduate Degree in Science or Engineering

    Experience: 3+ Years

    About Role:We are looking for a customer focused, energetic and innovative sales professional who is self-motivated, highly driven and experienced in Solution Selling (pre-sales consulting). You will be responsible for driving sales initiatives and developing the sales pipeline in relation to Software and Cloud Services. 

    In this role you would provide expertise working with our sales team to position Software Asset Management (SAM) to customer accounts and generate revenue; provide internal trainings, mentoring to upskill the sales team and coordinate partner trainings and certifications for capacity building. 

    For this role you will have an understanding and passion for selling custom software development, cloud computing technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends and solution partners while having the commercial confidence to interact with vendors and customers in order to build new partner relationships whilst driving enhanced revenue and profitability.

    Specifically, the role includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
    • A solid background in selling Software Asset Management (SAM) and/or Software Lifecycle Management (SLM) for clients 
    • A strong background in the sale/pre-sales of Managed Services for a software publisher or services provider 
    • Engagement with leading cloud computing technology partners and technical teams on positioning solutions to clients based on emerging computing trends 
    • Excellent communications, including ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to major stakeholders, up to C-Level. 
    • Exposure to various license models and programs, including but not limited to; Microsoft, VMware, Oracle, Adobe, etc 

    • Identify new SLM business through both prospecting new clients and existing accounts 
    • Sales Target Achievement, and Sales Planning and reporting 
    • Demonstrate to customers in Software Lifecycle Management (SLM) strategies, including providing guidance on latest process improvements and services 
    • Design and develop customer solutions to address their requirements, including personally producing proposals and Statements of Work (SoW) 
    • Assist with all marketing related events, seminars, mailings, and call campaigns to increase SLM awareness.
    • Lead negotiations, coordinates complex decision-making process, and overcomes objections to capture new business opportunities 

    • Develop strategies for accounts which maximize cross-sell and up-sell business opportunities with the aim of recurring revenue. 
    • Arrange, conduct, and manage partner certification trainings to ensure sales team are suitably qualified and certified to transact in the assigned vendor technologies 

    To be successful in the role, you will demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:
    • Graduate Degree in Science or Engineering with 3-5 years of technology related sales or business development experience, particularly software portfolio, cloud computing and management; experience working within a technical / pre-sales environment preferred. 
    • An understanding and passion for selling custom software development, cloud computing technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends and solution partners. 
    • Understanding of cloud computing market and ability to develop deep expertise in Solutions and languages relevant to IaaS, PaaS, Data & AI, Business Applications, and Modern Workplace. 

    • Familiar with Software design or development life cycle; Systems Operations / Management; Database architecture; Virtualization; IP Networking; Storage; IT Security 
    • Proven track record of outstanding performance and achieving goals 
    • Takes initiative to independently grow technical knowledge 
    • Exceptional interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills to succeed in a customer facing role. 
    • Ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences and to connect technological solutions with measurable business value. 

    • Success-driven, works well in a diverse team and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment. 
    • Coordinating internal training and customer activities; 
    • Passion for selling cloud technologies and changing the world. 

    Standard Terms:
    • Annual Salary package PGK 150,000 (Equivalent AUD 60,000) 
    • Bachelor furnished accommodation 
    • Airfares for 2 trips to home country from Port Moresby PNG every year.

    • Local transport in Port Moresby
