JOB DESCRIPTON:
We are searching for a well-organized self-starter with great attention to detail to join our team as Civil Engineer. Day-to-day responsibilities include drawing up work schedules and planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, and facilities, such as roads, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, water and waste disposal units. Includes architectural, structural and geo-technical engineers. Managing resources, and communicating with surveyors, managers, and other engineers. You should be able to analyse data, write reports, and deliver presentation.
To be successful as a civil Engineer, you should demonstrate sound knowledge of the relevant Engineering discipline and be able to anticipate problems. Outstanding Engineers should have great attention to detail and be able to handle stress well.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Analyse survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
- Maintenance Civil Engineer dealing with civil maintenance works preparation, works related to design, construction, typically of boilers, thermal reactor, incinerators refractory, repair and renew as per inspection report.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
- Observing existing processes, analysing staff performance, and addressing deficiencies accordingly.
- Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
- Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.
- Writing specifications for materials, reviewing bids, and supervising constructions.
- Monitoring and tracking project progress and writing up reports.
- Communicating with managers, supervisors, and the rest of the team.
- Analysing technical drawings and providing material.
- Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budgets.
- Supervises training programs for new employees in his units. Ensures following of relevant fire & safety.
- Attended & knowledge to work on Shutdown maintenance, Preventive maintenance, Corrective maintenance.
- Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.
- Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
- Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-way descriptions. - Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential impact of projects.
- Accumulates, collects and analyses data and information required for planning.
- Comply with INTECH health and safety policies and general site safety rules and to report any injury, near miss or potentially unsafe condition / hazard or any other occurrence which may cause injury to personnel damage to equipment or affect the local environment using the correct reporting lines.
- Support and comply with Quality, HSE, Company Policies and ISO management system documentations and implementations.
