Leading Group into Construction Services with special focus on Water, Civil and Building Sub Sectors in Somalia
Role
The position spearheads organizations ongoing operations and procedures. Profile reports to CEO and as second in command, COO is a key member of the Senior Management team and is responsible for the efficiency & profitability of the business. The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
Besides managing projects in Somalia, the COO is required to travel extensively to companys other project locations in Africa and Gulf
Responsibilities
- Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures for existing as well as new construction projects
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
- Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
- Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)
- Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Update the CEO giving his assessment on the project progress reports, financial performance, new opportunities, fundraising and overall operations of the company
- Look for new opportunities for expansion, acquisition, alliances etc while maintain excellent relationships with Partners/Vendors and stake holders
Skills
- Proven leadership exposure of Construction/Infrastructure industry
- Thorough understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Experience in fundraising will be a plus
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Civil Engineer or an MBA
Salary :
Net savings $5000 - $7000 + Furnished Accommodation + Food + 21 days leave every 6 months + Return Airfare every 6 months + Medical + All Expat Benefits
