MEGHNA PVC LTD. is a new venture of Meghna Group which has a 1,50,000 MT/year capacity PVC plant using world famous EDC/VCM technology of Oxyvinyls, USA and PVC technology of Kemone, France. After startup its production MEGHNA will succeed in catering 60% of countries PVC market.
The project area is located on the north bank of Meghna River, in Bangladesh. It is about 30 km away from central Dhaka city
Shift Incharge
Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as In Charge of the assigned shift of PVC/VCM plant, incinerator, EDC/LE/HE storage area, Ethylene storage area, utility block.
- Prepare effective strategy for plant start-up and shut down activities and follow-up all SOCs and SOPs.
- Coordinate with maintenance team for routine maintenance activities.
- Monitor the critical production parameters and take corrective actions to maintain standard operative conditions to keep the product quality within the specifications
- Monitor current stock of chemicals and inform proper authority to make new requisition for procurement.
- Increase the level of productivity and ensure proper consumption of raw materials during production.
- Coordinate between control room and field to ensure proper production management.
- Prepare plan to achieve production target with optimum cost.
- Analyze sudden shutdown or abnormalities of machinery, find out the root cause of it and submit analysis report.
- Maintain safety of the plants assets, housekeeping and manpower management during shift.
- Maintain cordial harmony with shift crew.
- Develop safety culture and clean work environment in the plant.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Knowledge on PVC technology (preferably Kemone technology, France) and EDC/VCM technology (preferably Oxyvinyls technology, USA)
- Experience in relevant field will be preferably in Kemone technology for PVC resin production
- Sound oral and written English/Hindi communication skill preferred, dynamic leadership, negotiation and planning/budgeting competency backed by understanding of design & detailing is also pre-requisite
- Sound knowledge on Commissioning/Post-commissioning/trouble shooting/ DCS operation of PVC/VCM plant
- Knowledge on Auto CAD/different process software, Microsoft office etc.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate DCS panel of PVC/VCM plant throughout 08/12 hours shift
- Monitor the operating standards of the plant to achieve targeted production
- Monitor specific chemical consumption as per the design data book
- Coordinate between control room and field
- Implement instructions of shift engineer or higher management of the plant
- Instruct field operators to prepare chemical batch, monitor storage chemical inventory & pass on information to concern department in consultation with shift engineer for the procurement.
- Take reading of the operating parameters as per the log sheet
- Record lab result in lab sheet and take corrective actions in consultation with shift in charge
- Maintain logs of activity carried out during the shift in log sheet
- Hand over the charge to the reliever with all necessary critical information
