Purchasing Manager (Saudi Arabia)

At least five years supervisory experience in a procurement group, addressing diverse needs and sources of supply, and being responsible for at least two subordinates. Proven track record of price reduction, supplier evaluation and; development, working within a purchasing system (SAP/BaaN/Oracle/JD Edwards, etc.) environment. Work 11 backgrounds in a directly-related industry, such as dairy, beef cattle, feed milling, etc., with an extensive knowledge of animal feeds sourcing on a global basis. Extensive knowledge of global agricultural markets and commodities.

Experience in departmental administration, staff assessment and development, systems development and/or implementation. Has successfully implemented modem commodity management techniques and methodologies

1. Developing formal procurement plans for the sourcing, delivery, and control of Plant & Process Equipment, Transport & Rolling Stock, and Constructional Materials & Services, in conjunction with internal customers (Operation, Farming, & Sales). 
2. Actively participating in the CAPEX process and manage the issue of purchase orders for assigned projects. Leading final negotiations for CAPEX goods and services for assigned projects. 
3. Supervising the work of Purchasing Team Leader, Sr. Buyers, Buyers, and others, within agreed areas of responsibility, in the efficient and effective completion of the procurement process, while minimizing financial and business risk to the company. 
4. Conduct staff 's assessment in his area of responsibility, develop training needs to his staff and deliver planned training programs. 
5. Actively developing effective cross-divisional and cross-functional relationships with all customers (in his area of responsibility) , and achieve / maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with the services delivered. 
6. Design and implement supplier performance monitoring, and a supplier evaluation process.

1. Develop, present, and implement after approval by senior management, an effective procurement strategies for supply of goods and services in assigned areas of responsibility Plant & Process Equipment, Transport & Rolling Stock, and Constructional Materials & Services - that meet all company requirements for quality, timing, and cost. 
2. Assist with the purchase of CAPEX goods and services in a manner that delivers increased value to the business, through improved cost, delivery, and/or performance. 
3. Manage his area of responsibility in Central Procurement function, to ensure efficient execution of transactions while maintaining adequate levels of control, review, and approval. 
4. Plan and execute the training, and development of staff members within his area of responsibility. 
5. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all customers within agreed areas of responsibility. 
6. Develop and extend supplier relationships to deliver increased value to the company business.
