Senior Industrial Engineer for Sherpa Adventure Gear LLC (Nepal)

Experience: 10 to 20 yrs.



Candidate will be responsible for the followings - 

Analysis: - 

Utilize LEAN management principles, apply statistical methods, and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes and systems, staff requirements, and production standards.

Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine worker function and responsibilities.
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, andproject status.
Review production schedules, product specifications, orders and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
Communicate with management and personnel to develop production and design standards.
Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.
Conduct time and motion studies to facilitate job efficiency in each department and recommend areas for improvement or additional training. Determine standard time required to process existing work for each position.

Planning: - 

Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to promote maximum efficiency and productivity.
Develop manufacturing sequences, methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff, facility, and resource utilization and eliminate waste.
Develop flow charts to establish efficiency and productivity controls.
Implementation:-

Orient, train, develop, mentor & coach, evaluate, and counsel staff.
Complete production reports, purchase orders, and material, tool, and equipment lists.
Coordinate quality control activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Schedule deliveries based on production forecasts, material substitutions, storage and handling facilities, and maintenance requirements.

Monitor and Correct:
Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations and ensure timely delivery.
Monitor raw materials inventory levels to ensure smooth production flow.
Compare production performance standards with actual performance and recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.

Candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial Engineering with Textile / garment industry.

Proven experience utilizing LEAN management principles.

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Experience using time and motion studies to improve staff performance
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching, and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Strong computer skills, including MS-Office, e-mail, and database applications.

Must be ready to relocate at Nepal.
