Marine Mechanic for UAE

Experience: 3 to 5 yrs.

Location : UAE

Job Purpose : Carry out engine room operations and other maintenance activities in line with standard operating procedures and as per chief Engineer's instructions.

Key Accountabilities:

• Chief Engineer Support

Operate the engine room equipment as directed by the Chief Engineer and in line with the standard operating procedures.
Assist the Chief Engineer in any other related tasks such as repairs, non-routine trouble-shooting etc.

• Maintenance Duties

Execute related maintenance jobs such as clean in, painting and part replacement for equipment and machinery on the vessel.
Carry out routine checks and repairs on machinery and equipment on the vessel and report any unusual occurrence or observation immediately to the Chief engineer.

• Watch Keeping

Carry out watch keeping duties as directed ensuring that all indicators, gauges etc. are monitored carefully.

• Safety

Follow stringently all safety precautions and guidelines in the course of daily work.

Qualifications 
Marine Engineering training certificate or equivalent marine mechanic qualification.
Completion of mandatory safety courses.

Experience 
Around 3 years work experience as a marine mechanic on tankers or tugs.
