To manage team and deliver a high quality food incorporating innovation and creativity using various recipes.
To adhere to company procedures in regards to temperature checks, food labelling and dating, cleaning schedules and hygiene regulations at all times and ensuring that all records of such are updated and kept.
To assist with the acceptance and storage of deliveries and that all-relevant company and government procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
To be punctual for work and report directly to the Supervisor or Manager on duty.
To ensure you maintain your work area to a clean, hygienic and tidy state at all times.
To wear the full and correct uniform at all times whether on the public eye or back areas.
To provide on the job training to junior members of kitchen staff.
To have an understanding of menu planning, writing and the implementation of stock controls and how this enables the kitchen to meet Gross Profit.
To be familiar with the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and carry them out as rotated.
To assist and ensure the junior chefs/cooks carry out daily and weekly procedures including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage and to ensure records of such are up to date.
To recognize the importance of good stock management/control and its importance in the kitchen meeting its Gross Profit.
To remove any hazards and make safe any defects in the kitchen or equipment
To comply with all safety requirements relating to chemicals and equipment used in the kitchen.
To comply with any reasonable request from your superiors or restaurant manager.
The suitable candidate will be sponsored to work in Australia on a 4 year work visa with the possibility of further sponsorship for another term or permanent residency at the end of the initial term. You must be able to complete Australian work visa requirements which primarily means English language ability IELTS test with 5 band in each module + skills assessment, we will be able to guide you in the procedure.
Remuneration Approximately Australian Dollar $1000 per week + 9% super (PF)
