Maintenance Planner for Boeing Aerospace, Singapore

Position Description: 

  • Develop scheduled maintenance forecast based on the analysis of airline schedules and maintenance operations
  • Monitor and coordinate with maintenance provider deferred (MEL/CDL) and unscheduled maintenance items, and coordinate with the operator for disruption recovery
  • Track and validate maintenance delays and cancellations based on airline maintenance operations root-cause analysis
  • Manage, revise, and issue all maintenance work packages for line and base maintenance activities based on airline operations and availability of required facilities, tooling, and materials
  • Lead daily conference calls for maintenance planning briefing with maintenance providers, maintenance control, and/or airline operations center (AOC)
  • Be responsible for preparing work packages for aircraft that require maintenance to be performed on Boeing Fleet Management Customer's aircraft and for coordinating the plan to accomplish these work packages with the Boeing Fleet Management Vendor
  • Manage all maintenance planning for each operators aircraft that is enrolled in GoldCare
  • Develop scheduled maintenance forecast
  • Coordinate with the operator for disruption recovery decision support
  • Monitor and coordinate with maintenance provider deferred and unscheduled maintenance items
  • Monitor AOG maintenance events and take action if necessary
  • Review MEL/CDL maintenance deferrals (at fleet level)
  • Track and validate maintenance delays and cancellations
  • Monitor and track airplane out of service for maintenance
  • Manage the global line maintenance plan when the airplane schedule changes due to disruptions
  • Verify that all assigned talks are completed/deferred prior to aircraft dispatch
  • Finalize overnight routine maintenance work packages
  • Verify tools and materials availability for routine overnight visit maintenance plans
  • Develop a plan for each aircraft and maintenance station that takes into account aircraft time available, complexity of the work, and available resources
  • Issue all maintenance work packages for line and base maintenance activities
  • Manage the maintenance planning and maintenance control coordination activities
  • Ensure that all work managed by the GoldCare Operations Center complies with GoldCare standards, policies, and procedures system-wide
  • Support operators and maintenance providers' issues by facilitating communications with the appropriate specialists and Boeing support organizations
  • Coordinate the operator's requirements on a continuous basis, including management of maintenance deferrals as required
  • Manage all maintenance planning for each operator's aircraft that is enrolled in GoldCare
  • Plan and issue the work packages for line and base maintenance
  • Develop a plan for each work package that takes into account aircraft time available, the complexity of the work, available resources, and human performance
  • Coordinate with Boeing Material Management to assure that the parts supply is compatible with the work packages provided
  • Provide resource management and determine personnel requirements for areas of responsibilities
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

Competencies:

  • Possess at least 5 years airline/MRO-related experience, along with a working knowledge and understanding of commercial airline maintenance planning, forecasting, and packaging
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to organize, prioritize, and structure tasks and information
  • Possess willingness and the ability to make decisions and work in a team environment
  • Able to create and revise fleet-wide maintenance plans and schedules
  • Able to create and revise a tailored maintenance plan based on customer's initial and future flight routes and schedules
  • Able to integrate customer's Flight Following and Flight Scheduling System into the Fleet Management Services Enterprise System
  • Able to issue aircraft-specific scheduled maintenance work packages (scheduled tasks, ADs, SBs, EOs, deferrals, etc.) based on available Maintenance Provider resources (staffing, tooling, facilities)
  • Able to automatically identify Open/Close Access requirements specific to each work package
  • Able to coordinate emergent scheduled maintenance planning issues with Customer and Maintenance provider through Fleet Management Services Operations Center
  • Able to build the work control packages for aircraft and assign work priority order
  • Able to reconcile the maintenance plan as aircraft swaps occur, reassign planned work, review the work plan with the Manager of Vendor Maintenance, and initiate or maintain communications on planned maintenance assigned to vendor's location in order to meet the demands of the workload
  • Able to complete the planning worksheet prior to the daily maintenance meetings and include comments regarding maintenance actions requiring special tooling, special procedures, and unusual parts or items of significant interest to the Vendor Maintenance Department
  • Able to plan and schedule maintenance based on the availability of planned man-hours and capacity to ensure minimum aircraft downtime and a balanced workload
  • Able to coordinate engineering events as described on the various planned maintenance events
  • Able to plan and schedule all Boeing Fleet Management Customer special project work from sources both within Boeing Fleet Management with the Vendor's Maintenance Department
  • Able to facilitate the accomplishment of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Fleet Campaign Directive (FCDs), and Engineering Orders (EOs)
  • Able to ensure that parts and material are scheduled/routed to the job site to support the planned workload and ensure that aircraft are located at the proper maintenance facility as required
  • Able to facilitate Boeing Fleet Management Customer activities as they pertain to maintenance actions or work scopes for aircraft in maintenance
  • Able to track and coordinate all maintenance deferrals pertaining to Line Maintenance operations, including the tracking of parts required
  • Able to coordinate with Maintenance Control and Technical Services on the accomplishment of maintenance deferrals and maintenance of follow-up items affecting the daily workload
  • Able to maintain forecasts, charts, graphs, and other visual data displays relevant to the job assignment
  • Able to coordinate and lead the afternoon daily line planning teleconference call and perform follow-up as necessary
  • Able to work closely with all line maintenance stations, where work is to be performed, in reporting workforce issues and availability, and to coordinate planning functions with the hours available
  • Able to stay informed on hangar slot availability, out-station capabilities, maintenance restrictions, and seasonal weather restrictions, and plan the workload accordingly
  • Able to coordinate technical service requests and monitor various trends on a per aircraft basis to identify repeat problems or conditions
