Job Overview
- Creatively explore different approaches in negotiation agreements to achieve greatest cost reductions for the Company.
- Align objectives with different functional areas, mainly with Operations.
- Ensures appropriate procurement service levels, quickly adapting to changes in size and supply market.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
Ensures the best costs/benefits for the Company. Proposes, negotiates, and ensures the appropriate Procurement service levels within the country.
Planning and Monitoring
- Proposes, negotiates, and ensures the appropriate Procurement service levels to the business units, including cost/benefits objectives.
- Is responsible for controlling the inventories and suppliers' payment terms under Procurement scope.
- Leads initiatives pursuing optimization of the total cost of ownership, establishing plans, directions and controls.
Negotiation
- Validates negotiations targets and consolidates negotiations to ensure the best costs/benefits for the Company.
- Creatively explore different alternative approaches in negotiation agreements to achieve greatest cost reductions for QIG.
- Implement negotiations and evaluate impact of company's purchasing policies.
- Ensures the application of the Procurement Strategic Sourcing methodology.
- Develop top Procurement relationship with suppliers.
General Management
- Assure implementation of Procurement policies, programs and procedures and provide guide and advice to Managers.
- Have clear understanding of functional areas challenges and opportunities regarding Procurement matters to provide guide and advice in decision making processes.
- Understanding the main different business activities & process.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business.
- Master’s degree.
- English and Arabic language proficiency .
- Cement industry experience.
- Negotiation experience.
- Job experience in operations.
- Experience working in a global environment.
