Experience: 1 to 3 yrs.
- To assist the manager in the compilation of financial statements under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and IFRS for SME frameworks
- Compliance with International Standards on Review Engagement,
- Preparation of management accounts and in the areas of tax compliance
- Knowledge of reporting to the client on the management accounts and adhering to the deadline agreed by the firm
- Assist in the finalisation of accounts and preparation of financial statements under IFRS and IFRS and SMEs on an annual basis
- Assisting in the preparation of payroll for clients on a monthly basis.
- To review the work done by staff and junior executives and provide them coaching and guidance to enhance the performance and career development.
- Preparation and completion of tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals
- Preparation of VAT returns for the companies and payment of VAT dues
- Assist the manager
- Conducting research
- Responding to queries from clients
- Conducting reviews of the financials, tax and VAT
- Extensive client liaison
- Aspects of staff management including performance and development
- Mentoring and development of trainees
- Calculation of provisional self assessment tax payments on quarterly basis and yearly basis.
- Attending to client queries from revenue authorities and assisting in the resolution of past queries and objections received from revenue authorities
- Attending to Tax investigations/ tax audits, liaising with clients and revenue authorities, providing information to either party, ongoing communications in connection with investigation/audit.
- General administrative work for overall management and monitoring of the team where you are attached.
- Knowledge of risk based audit would be an added advantage.
