Camp Manager for Qatar

Experience: 10 to 12 yrs.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position is responsible for camp management and maintenance to ensure successful operation. Work is performed independently within established policies and procedures under the general direction of Human Resource Manager. Job duties include building maintenance, environmental / safety regulation compliance, grounds maintenance, custodial support, cafeteria support, organization of events, space assignments, supervisory & budgetary responsibility.

JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA
Develop and maintain a system for ensuring that the facilities are prepared well in advance to receive/dispatch "residents"
Develop and maintain a system for ensuring that only authorized personnel gain access to camp facilities
Develop and maintain a system, including reporting to affected departments, for ensuring that sick/injured or those requiring attention are dealt with the necessary degree of sensitivity, while within the camp environs.
Maintain complete details of employees staying in the camp.
To maintain all stationary records of residents.
To enforce strict discipline in the camp premises.
Develop and maintain a system for ensuring that all camp facilities are operated and maintained in a safe and efficient manner.
Develop and maintain a system that ensures that adequate notice is given for provision/replacement of camp assets.
Inspect and authorize a staff member to inspect all cabins and grounds before any camp leaves and report any damage to the project manager
Develop and maintain a camp assets register and control issue of camp materials. Able to work well within a team based environment.
Communicate regularly with project staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times
Develop and maintain an operating budget for all camp / Manage the camp against this operating budget.
Develop and maintain a system to control the consumption of energy and water.
Manage and produce accurate formal reports in accordance with business timetable 

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION

  • Minimum College degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the same capacity.
  • Goal and Result-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Demonstrate commitment to mission, vision and values.
  • Display cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Ensure that the camps have an up-to-date health and safety system.
Ensure that the camps have an up-to -date and well communicated emergency evacuation and response plan
Ensure that all the camps have adequate first aid equipment.
Ensure that camp premises are always clean and tidy.
Control over movement of vehicles into and within the camp premises.

GENERAL

Carry out all related duties that may be assigned.
Arrange a regular monthly meeting of employees' representatives (a committee to be formed) to discuss problems and find solutions for continued improvement
Carry out regular inspections of all camp facilities and implement corrective measures as appropriate.
Ensure close liaison and co-operation with The Catering Department

Experienced in operations management, sales, budget development, problem solving and cost control
Expert knowledge in remote sites, industrial, hostile environments & Oil field catering and camp management setting up a commercial, industrial, oilfield Kitchen
Motivated individual, multi-lingual, management skills, expert knowledge in pre-and- post openings. Enjoys challenging roles especially where team development and training is required. Works well as a team environments and continually shows initiative and creativity.

Minimum 10 years GCC experience as Camp Manager
Age maximum 45 years
Good physique
Conversant with English /Hindi and preferably other Asian languages.
Capable to handle and manage camp with more than 5000 inmates
