Aim of the Technical Support is to attend to the calls that get logged with the Resident engineers, Major activities undertaken under this include:
To administer the Server Hardware and Operating System [ Windows XP and Win 2003,WIN2008 ] and ensure platform availability for running of the applications and aid processing by users.
Activities
Scope of administration of Linux/NT/Win 2k3/Win2K8 servers
Maintenance of OS loading, applying patches to OS required by repartitioning of hard disks, configuring network card, installation of any hardware, Configuring and administering IP Address, DHCP, DNS, Print queues, Anti-virus.

Menu/Task ID Creation
Creating Update Package: After finishing Development work, developer will hand over the project number and object to CNC administrator. Where package built ; deployment; promotion and web generation activity are being done. All listed activities are being done for client and server. During this checking of logs, check for Errors Promote to next environment activities are carried out.
Creating Full package periodically for all the three environments. This activity is very important for building and clubbing all update packages together for getting latest server specs on every Fat Client and to avoid object corruption.
This includes building full package , submit build, checking Logs, testing full package on any one FAT client of specific Environment known as package deployment , then deploy the package on Enterprise server, and do web generation .This takes continuous monitoring as full package build process itself takes more than 8 Hrs to complete + web generation takes another 4 Hrs .
Data refresh activity (do periodically data refresh from PD to PY environment as different audit need some testing, new development require current data to test)
For critical problems communication with Vendors, Logging SR to Oracle. Providing them support by submitting JDE logs, JDEDEBG logs, remote connection, conducting oracle web conference.
Setting up Schedulers (some jobs need to fire on daily basis) + Automatic e-mailing of the reports to concern department Users.
Maintaining FAT clients (development special computers) for all three Environments, deploying update package, deploying full package. Repairing FAT clients in case of failures.
Using Change assistant, download ESUs as per requirement. And apply them to planner environment. Again create Update or full package depending upon no. of objects present in the ESU.
Box.net , uploading / downloading files on the server, (QC-kawade, design dept )
Handling Server Room, power related problems, AC related problems, Updating LAN Wiring diagrams
Support cost includes CNC Activity for US Implementation.
Desktop Computers
Attending to all the PC OS and Std. Software problems (PC, Notebook, Workstations)I related, TCP/IP settings, network settings, network connections, Printer settings, ISDN dialup modem settings, scanner configurations.
Configuration of new desktop computers with standard set of softwares with proper IP.
Maintain inventory of all softwares running on clients and keep track of license consumption, Ensure all clients are loaded with anti-virus software and ensure upgrades are propagated on all PC's automatically , Ensure all clients are updated with the latest service packs released by Microsoft.,
Problem resolving and monitoring of desktop clients, Maintain set of driver floppies and CD's related to every desktop properly in the library with appropriate labels and instruction tips needed for re-installing the OS on the PC in case of major failure
Installing/upgrading/removing software - OS ( kernel patches, new device drivers), applications (new versions, DLLs, new configurations), documentation
MAIL MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
Support for existing MAIL setup, Mail Account Management - Creation, deletion & transfer of Mail users, Mail traffic monitoring and pro active disk space usage for Mail, Support for mail related problems, Problem isolation/ Trouble shooting and Resolution, Ensuring confidentiality and security of individual mail users, Support for modem h/w and s/w related problems, Providing guidance to users on e-mail software related issues.
Configuring Both mail integratedww.co.in and integratedww.com mail IDs.
Configuring the same on smart phones as per requirement.
NETWORK MANAGEMENT (LAN) SUPPORT
LAN Network administration, Network trouble shooting and problem Resolution, Create/delete/modify users & groups, Desktop to LAN connectivity, Controlling user access rights and network security, Printer management & server software support.

Strong experience with troubleshooting software and hardware on laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, and handheld equipment
Excellent knowledge of Windows 2008/2012 Server
Excellent knowledge of Exchange 2010 and Exchange DAG Environment
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
Excellent knowledge of active directory, DHCP and DNS
Excellent knowledge of SonicWALL Firewalls
