Technical Support Engineer for Zurich, Switzerland

Our client is a leading global provider of telecommunications services and manufacturer of computers and electronic devices and is looking for Small Cell Technical Support Project Engineer

Duration: 9 month

Location: Zurich

Responsibilities:

•       Project delivery support:

•       Onsite  Small Cell System deployment & maintenance:

•       Onsite customer technical support, clarification & meetings:

•       Tracking, review/monitoring across I&C, Field Maintenance, S/W support

•       Responsible for timely communication of critical documentation (System issue reporting, Change Requests)

Requirements:

•       B.Eng at telecommunications or equivalent relevant degrees / experience

Professional skills and knowledge:

-       Relevant Radio access network and Core Network related experiences

-       Hands-on experiences of IP routing & switching, database, mobile network system maintenance (e.g. OAM), IP/MPLS and Ethernet technologies and customer support

-       Good IP & Routing, System Integration, Mobile Macro / Small Cell system network trouble shooting, maintenance, management and monitoring

-       Good Unix/Linux/Oracle Database systems knowledge good Radio Planning & System Design

-       Proven experience in on-site customer support, hands on experience with Protocol Analyzer tools and debugging tools such as Wireshark

-       Good understanding of 3GPP standards, mobile system protocols and interfaces (e.g. Iu, Iur, etc), end-to-end system knowledge of WCDMA UMTS/HSPA

-       Good technical knowledge in LAN, TCP/IP, IPSEC, IMS, and wireless protocols (SIP, MGCP, RTP, GTP etc)

-       Good technical oral and written communication skills
