Job Purpose:
- Roles in this level have prime responsibility for maintaining stock of shore standard material needed for maintenance of the plants.
- The role supports in the line in keeping stock level at an economically acceptable optimum level.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintaining stock of material needed for maintenance of the plants.
- Maintain stock level at an economically acceptable optimum level by analyzing historical usage, change in lead times and change in use patterns.
- Forecast material requirements based on MRP Run in ERP system and analyse replenishment suggestions (Demand + Predetermined Stock levels)
- Analyse accuracy of Master Date in replenishment suggestion (specification, supplier etc).
- Item master amendments based on Technical review (BES).
- Recommend changes to inventory levels based on analysis of changes in demand & current usage patterns.
- Analyses requests from Purchase/Suppliers for change of specifications or replacements.
- Replenishment of stock items, generate PR, monitoring critical and shut down PR’s
- Issue of call of against BO.
- Follow up with purchase on all past due purchase Orders.
- Inventory Management.
- Analysing request for stocking of new items (MRP-data, specifications, duplicate etc.)
- Generate request for codification of new stock items.
- Knowledge about international standards.
- Identify potential duplicate items for merging.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical) from a recognized University.
- 10 years relevant experience in Material Planning functions within an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
- Skills in negotiating, problem solving, analytical approach, strategic sourcing.
- Team player, goal oriented, flexible, self-motivated, cost conscious energetic, positive attitude; achievement drive and good interpersonal relationship to solve problems in very efficient manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment that expects the highest level of customer service and ethical business behavior.
- Ability to understand and interact with diverse groups and operations.
- Understanding of key business objectives and work processes.
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Familiar in working with ERP software’s like people soft/Oracle/JD Edwards and also should be well versed with Lotus Notes mailing system and MS office programs, like MS word, MS Excel, PowerPoint etc.
