Principal Accountabilities:

3.1. Control daily HSE practices with regular checks of work sites, ensure that hazards are identified, precautionary measures are taken and advice trades Supervisors on HSE matters.
3.2. Review, monitor and control implementation of all HSE procedures related to Project activities and effectiveness of safety, lifesaving and emergency equipment. Ensure that the Contractor Maintains effective records for all equipment used for the project.
3.3. Promote safe working systems and procedures. Monitor and advise on proper application of Permit to Work system, participating in actual Job Watch as and where necessary but not limited to cold work, hot work, hot tapping, mechanical sealing/plugging, entry into dangerous confined spaces and ensuring that all Safety regulations and practices are adhered to.
3.4. Coordinate and participate in identifying and evaluating HSE hazards/risks and recommend measures to reduce them.
3.5. Coordinate and participate in Risk assessment, Job safety analysis (JSA) workshops.
3.6. Participate as a leader or member of an emergency situation team, providing first line decisions concerning containment of emergency, assist the On Scene Commander and participate in detailed first aid or emergency action dictated by situation, provide reports on situations existing at the time of such incidents and present comments on causes and possible remedies.
3.7. Investigate all industrial and non-industrial incidents and accidents involving personnel, plant and equipment including dangerous occurrences. Analyze causes, determine future action to reduce these occurrences, prepare and maintain statistical records of all incidents. Prepare the related periodic reports, highlighting and analyzing problem areas and recommending preventive measures.
3.8. Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental programs and procedures are communicated and understood by all on-site personnel.
3.9. Conduct frequent audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs and procedures at assigned location, present recommendations for improvement and follow-up their implementation.
3.10. Assist in studying and commenting on engineering designs and drawings pertaining to modifications of plant, equipment, installations or projects works to ensure adherence to HSE rules, standards and codes of practice, during all phases of implementation on Site.

Principal Accountabilities (Contd):
3.11. Ensure that all procedure and data pertaining to hazardous substances including radioactive sources are available and that necessary precautions are observed when transporting, storing and handling.
3.12. Promote Company Waste Management program to collect, store, transport and disposal of project related waste materials.
3.13. Participate in promoting the occupational health programs with all it's aspects.
3.14. Conduct other duties as directed by Project Engineer / Construction Manager.

Truck Mechanic and Heavy Duty Driver for Oman

1. Truck Mechanic Muscat. -  

- ITI trained, gulf experienced and have very good hands on experience on Truck-Trailer maintenance. The candidate has to actually work on shop floor and carry out Truck-Trailer maintenance especially on SCANIA, VOLVO, MAN etc.
- should have thorough knowledge of Engine Overhauling, Gear Box maintenance; all major repairs to Truck-Trailer, carrying out preventive maintenance etc.

2. Heavy Duty Driver- Muscat 

-The Heavy Duty Drivers should be only from the field of driving SCANIA, VOLVO, MAN Prime Movers attached to 40-feet Flatbed Trailers; long bed trailers OR Trailers with crane operation in block factories. The Heavy Duty drivers shall be capable of looking after the Truck-Trailers allotted in good working condition, carry out daily checks and should follow all HSE requirements.

-The Driver should have minimum 5-10 years of experience of driving long Trailers and have proper gulf experience. Age should be between 30-45 years. The candidate should have a clean and safe record and proper reference check should be done. The Drivers will have to put in long hours and should have the capability of working under pressure. Their antecedents and personal habits should also be checked. They should be possessing a valid computerized Oman / GCC driving license.
