Service Manager and Service Technician for Brijlal & Co. Ltd in Fiji

Service Manager

Experience: 5 to 7 yrs.

 Prerequisites
  • Must have a tertiary qualification in the related field (electronics)
  • Must have at least 3 years experience at a supervisory level
  • Must have at least 5 years experience as a service technician (in the repair of various white goods, home appliances, TVs, home theatre, watches, cameras, computer products, etc)
  • Must have technical ability and understanding of electronics wiring and components and ability to read circuit diagrams, understand service manuals and undertake repairs of goods
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able and willing to relocate to Fiji for at least 3 years
Tasks
  • Maintain and track the status of repair jobs
  • Prioritise important/urgent repair jobs
  • Keep service area neat and presentable
  • Mentor junior service technicians on repairing techniques and product knowledge while motivate them to improve their performance and instilling discipline in them
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and attend to and resolve customer disputes
  • Be responsible for overall Service Centre operations
  • Ensure that spare parts inventory is well-maintained by engaging in stock-takes and re-ordering as and when required
  • Ensure the full records of repair jobs are maintained and are up-to-date
  • Report to top level management on service operations and ways to improve performance.

Service Technician

Experience: 3 to 5 yrs.

 Prerequisites
  • Must have a tertiary qualification in the related field (electronics)
  • Must have at least 3 years experience as a service technician (in the repair of various white goods, home appliances, TVs, home theatre, watches, cameras, computer products, etc)
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams, understand service manuals and undertake repairs of goods
  • Must be highly productive and efficient in repairing goods with a high turnover rate
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Must be able and willing to relocate to Fiji for at least 3 years
Tasks
  • Finding faults in items that have come for repair
  • Engage in actions to rectify the problem (e.g., replacing faulty part, undertake general service, repair faulty component, etc)
  • Recording particulars of actions undertaken for each repair job in journal
  • Undertake preventative action so the item does not develop the same problem
  • Report to Service Centre Manager on activities, spare parts and equipment requirements
