E&I SITE ENGINEER
To be part of a team of Engineers located at the Onshore Construction Site during the execution of detailed design, construction, mechanical completion, commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring the quality and cost control of the works according to the contract requirements.
Provide technical input and direction, in line with project requirements, to the Construction Contractor as a part of the Design Integrity process for the Onshore facilities.
To coordinate responses to Site related queries.
To assist in the close out of Supplier and EC related documentation
Coordinate with the client representatives across engineering disciplines to present any potential or actual problem areas across engineering disciplines as encountered at the project site and work with the client and other engineering disciplines to find alternative and corrective actions.
Analysis and forecast of the ongoing project execution activities for the various sub systems for their alignment/deviation with the overall project execution
Liaise with local authorities for purposes of documentation to ensure and facilitate smooth and timely project execution.
Plan for the three week ahead schedule to identify jobs that need to be completed and the resources which would be required for deployment for timely completion of the job
Coordinate with inter disciplinary project execution teams to intimate them of prior functional areas that might require attention.
Coordinate with other disciplines to attend areas/problems which are identified and reported from the site.
Carry out any other duties as and when directed by the supervisor.
Consults with E&I Team Lead on key decisions, which affect the project scope. May make decisions on the choice of Sub Contractors.
Cost Control Engineer
• Responsible for the preparation of estimation and cost reports from the identification of work through to its satisfactory completion.
• Shall prepare preliminary, class I, II and III cost estimates relevant to project phasing.
• Shall update periodic cost reports to reflect information gathered from project progress.
• Provide commercial support to COMPANY’s Project services Team in the preparation of annual budgets and business plans.
• Supporting the COMPANY’s Project services Team by providing ongoing and regular commercial analysis and information regarding the financial performance of their contracts with particular reference to annual budgets, prognosis and tender expectations.
• Ensure that cost reporting for each contract meets with contract requirements and that ongoing analysis is being made to track recovery against costs and highlight and resolve any associated issues.
• Preparation and agreement of comprehensive and regular monthly invoices and valuations and ensuring that these are presented to COMPANY on time and correctly.
• Preparation of Monthly Cost Reports and Sales Invoices.
• Preparation of Monthly Progress Payment Reports.
Leads the activities in ensuring that costs of projects do not exceed the budgeted value by bringing to attention as and when it occurs and take corrective action in conjunction with the project management team.
Quantity Surveyor
Monitor subcontractors’ measurements, rates and payment applications, Quantities take off and site measurement. Assist in formulation and estimation of variations and related cost estimates and maintain technical and cost records
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities /MTO from drawings and specifications.
• Maintain records and track BOQ Measurements (Bill of Quantities) / MTO (Made to Order) according to the approved drawings.
• Assist in verifying subcontractors’ interim and final payment applications in coordination with the site discipline engineer; present them for the further approval of the construction manager.
• Maintain technical records of the site progress meetings, issues related to drawings, direct labor hire/supply of plant, free issue materials and changes in scope of work and any other specifications.
• Keep track of third party services on day-to-day basis. Verify and approve third party invoices, liaise with them and check if the services are back chargeable to the sub-contractors.
• Maintain record of the free issue materials, manpower and equipment, sourced by Petrofac when the sub-contractor is unable to directly source the same.
• Maintain accurate records and data to enable the construction manager to resolve contractual conflicts and disputed claims with sub-contractors.
• Provide inputs for preparing cost budget based on issues related to drawings, direct labour/plant hire on regular basis and submit them to construction management.
• Implementation and adherence to HSE and Quality System procedures and plans. Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Carry out other related duties as directed by the supervisor.
