Maintenance Planner

Responsible for preparing the 14 (fourteen) and 90 (ninety) day look-ahead work plans with different level detail for the works carried out by the CONTRACTOR.

Must have at least 10 years’ experience in engineering work in the Petrochemical or Power Generation industry, of which at least 5 years have been performed as Planner / Scheduler.

Educational qualifications: OND or equivalent relevant discipline or standard based qualification (NVQ level 3) or equivalent. Nb. May be required to undertake Competency Based test witnessed by the COMPANY Discipline Engineer.

Must have a fairly good knowledge & understanding of various process equipments

Must be able to read, write and speak English (IELTS 6 Equivalent). 

Must be able to work with computers utilising Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages.

Must be fully aware of different pipes, gaskets and bolting materials (PEFS and piping class).

Must be able to identify and request for the appropriate materials and equipment for larger jobs.

Must be able to identify and request for the appropriate support services required during the execution of the work.

Must be able to prepare a 14 (fourteen) and 90 (ninety) day look-ahead work plan with different level detail for all the works of the CONTRACTOR.

Must be able to work with Primavera P6 planning software packages. Must have experience with resource loading and scheduling to produce progress status reports.

Must be able to read isometric drawings for engineering repairs and small plant changes.

Must be able to interpret lifting plans and translate these to work plans.

Must be able to prepare a detailed work packs and plans for a small to medium shutdowns.

Preferably have advanced level knowledge and experience with SAP-PM, CMMS and MS (Microsoft) Access Database along with other MS Office applications.


Lifting Superintendent

Responsibilities:

- Coordinating, planning, preparing, and supervising all lifting and rigging activities under the Purchase Contract 

- Ensuring that all lifting and rigging activities are carried out in strict compliance with Company’s Lifting & Rigging standards and legislative requirements.

- Ensuring that all lifting and rigging tools and equipment are in good working condition, inspection and maintenance is carried out adequately and timely, and that inspection records are maintained. 

- Ensuring all documentation (lifting & rigging plans, method statements, calculations, etc.) is presented to Company’s lifting department in a timely fashion and all submitted documentation is correct.

- Monitoring the quality of the pre-lift meeting and recommend improvements when required

- Producing Lifting and Rigging Method Statements, Risk assessments, Plot Plans, Rigging Studies, Heavy Lift and Critical Lift packs.

- Produce Transport plans and related documents pertaining to Lifting, Rigging, Jacking and Skating.

- The incumbent shall work closely with Company’s Lifting & Rigging department and with any third party crane supplier appointed by Company.


In addition to all requirements listed below the incumbent must have strong, proven safety leadership skills.

Must have 5 years proven experience with execution of lifting and rigging in the Oil & Gas industry

Must have 3 years proven experience as lifting superintendent responsible for a team of lifting & rigging supervisors and riggers.

Must have extensive experience with preparation of lifting & rigging risk assessments and method statements.

Must have thorough and full knowledge of Qatar/QP, and Company Lifting and Rigging standards. 

Expert Knowledge of lifting using Mobile Cranes, Overhead Cranes, Gantry Cranes (both Fixed and Trolley), Chain Blocks, Tirfor’s, Jacking and Skating, Fork Truck, Man-lifts, and Boom Truck.

Expert knowledge in lifting equipment, lifting equipment selection for tasks, lifting equipment inspection, and lifting equipment devaluation calculations for standard lifts.

A thorough understanding of the testing requirements for lifting equipment and Cranes including but not limited to vendor lifting lugs.

Must be in possession of Lifting and Rigging Training and Certification

Must have proven ability to produce good quality standard lift plots, elevation drawing, and lifting tackle drawings to scale. Preferred software AutoCAD.

Competent at assessing the lifting and rigging employees under his jurisdiction

Good communication skills, both orally as written are essential for this role. Incumbent must be a good team player. 

Can read, write and speak English language. (IELTS 7 equivalent)

Proficient with use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.


Mechanical Field Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing a distinct area within the Contractor’s area of responsibility ensuring that work is being planned and executed in a safe and efficient manner to meet the schedule and work standards. The Mechanical Field Engineer leads a group of Mechanical Supervisors and reports to Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.


Must have more than 10 years’ experience in Engineering works in the Petrochemical, Petroleum Refining industry.

Educational qualifications: HND in Mechanical discipline or additional standards based qualification.

Must have a fairly good knowledge & understanding of various process equipment’s

Must be able to read, write and speak English (IELTS 6 Equivalent).

Must be capable of assisting in QA / QC / HSE compliance audits on site procedures and HSE Plans.

Must be able to work with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages.

Must be fully aware of different pipes, gaskets and bolting materials.

Must have knowledge of different welding techniques and its quality requirements.

Must be able to organise up to 7 Supervisors and be stand in for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

Must be able to organise the materials and equipment for larger jobs.

Must be able to trouble shoot, test and propose repair methods without any supervision.

Must be able to make and verify lifting plans and structural calculations.

Must be able to plan associated activities for a smaller shutdown WORKS well in advance.

Must be able to advice, support and replace the Supervisors if necessary.

Preferably have a working level experience in SAP-PM and CMMS.
