Civil Engineer / Structural Engineer for UAE

Objective Summary: 
- Design / detail Engineering as well as Construction Engineering for onshore Oil and Gas upstream facilites, pipeline, industrial plants and their components for the projects assigned, in accordance with the procedures established and to meet the project schedule.
- Involves design calculations, preparation of drawings, specifications, materials and field engineering and co-ordination with other disciplines and user departments as well as Clients.
- To assist in Estimation works 
- Assigning works and supervising the functioning of Jr. engineers

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare Engineering Deliverables ( Design calculations, drawings and Requisitions) and issue them as per the committed schedule

Responsible for the assigned Construction Engineering activities including Material Take off, Purchase requisition and issue of Job Package, As builts.
Co-ordination with the Design agencies, Consultant, Client and subcontractors.

Guiding the preparation of design / detail drawings for steel structures, foundations, equipment foundations, buildings associated Oil& gas plants. Resolving Client / consutlant comments.
Participate in inter-discipline co-ordination and design reviews
Review of Enquiry documents, preparation of inputs for tenders

Working Condition & Physical Effort:

Normal office environment (mostly)
Onshore / industrial plants during site visits

Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

Education
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Masters Degree in Structural Engineering

Experience
5 to 8 years in basic / detail design of onshore Oil and gas / industrial structures both Concrete and steel structures. Exposure to construction engineering.

Special knowledge, abilities & skills
Well versed with international Standards, BS Standards , Euro code for structural design.
Good knowledge of Structural Materials.
Well versed with Structural Design software (STAAD Pro, SAFE, Prokon, RAM Connection)
Excellent communication skills in English Language
Exposure to 3-D modeling software

Physically fit, able to travel and work overtime when required, flexible attitude
