- * Reporting to: QA Manager/Project Manager
* Receiving Reports From: Foremans/Site Engineers
* Main Function: Responsible to ensure the correct implementation of the project quality plan
and inspection procedures on site.
* Duties & Responsibilities:
to be based full-time at site unless attending factory inspections;
to be fully aware of the project specifications and inspection requirement of the project;
advise on ITP and testing methods;
coordinate for material submission and other necessary procedure of the project;
prepare appropriate testing procedures for inclusion in work method statement;
ensure agreed testing procedures are satisfactory carried out;
ensure proper maintenance, calibration and operation of all testing equipment;
ensure all specified standards are available for reference and their requirements observed;
conduct daily inspection on site;
coordinate with NDT sub contractor for regular NDT activities of project;
inspect the incoming materials from suppliers and main store;
report to the Project Manager or Project Engineer or Workshop-in-charge and QA Management Representative for any nonconformity.
* Authorities:
to check the site activities for conformity.
To stop all non-confirming product/process.
* Job Requirements:
Qualifications: engineering degree of appropriate specialization.
Experience: depending on the type and size of the project (usually a minimum of 5-10 years is required.
Special Requirements: computer knowledge (Microsoft Word & Excel) & management skills, knowledge of inspection requirements for welding and steel fabrication, working knowledge of English.
