Senior Civil Engineer in Larsen & Toubro LLC, Oman

Job Description Summary: 
Coordinating in the areas of administrative and commercial management, cost estimation, cost control, post-contract and pre-contract works on the construction project in concurrence with Senior Management.
Reviewing the projects commercial risks and implementing all necessary changes.
Training and guiding newly joined quantity surveyors, identifying and establishing training programmes for them.
Proven capabilities with high competency in subcontract management.
Possess sound knowledge and experience in Quantity Surveying.
Prowess in contractual correspondences with internal/external customers/clients.
Proven strength in liaising with cost consultants on regular basis and resolving outstanding problems.
Hands on experience in the development of plans and procedures for focused cost management and profit maximization.

Adept at technical coordination, establishing and maintaining quality standards.
Capability to execute construction projects within budget, guideline, statutory requirements, and company procedures ensuring compliance with HSE policies and customer satisfaction.
Interfacing with clients to meet project requirements. 
A self starter possessing the ability to work efficiently in demanding work environments, taking initiatives to overcome constraints, and meeting deadlines.
Ability to work in multicultural environment, motivating team, leading by example & and delivering results as per set project objectives.
Deft in Technical coordination as well as establishing and maintaining quality standards as per QA/QC normsThe Senior Civil Engineer will work closely with the Site Technical Manager, Design Engineering, Construction Management and Contractors to contribute to and coordinate design information to support the project. This includes interpreting the technical requirements of the design documents to provide clear understanding of requirements and processing of Site Queries and Change Requests including Engineering Change Notices.

Responsibilities: 
The duties and job functions of the Senior Civil Engineer shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
Study drawings and specifications issued to the field and reports to Engineering Manager, identifying and solving any ambiguities, interferences or errors found on drawings, specifications and assigned work. Assist in monitoring and management of site Information Management;
Review and assess Owners Q.A surveying.
Review and assess Owners field Materials Testing.
Participate in Review of Contractors Quality Control program.
Assist Home Office in preparation and conveyance of Engineering Change Notices;
Participate in review of Contractors submittals.
Provide technical support to construction activities at the worksite, while expediting design changes for timely response to Site Queries.
Review proposals for field changes and substitutions and recommends action to the Engineering Manager and Site Manager for approval.
Obtain and supply field representatives and QA/QC inspectors with applicable codes, manufacturers instructions, vendor drawings and installation procedures required for field work.
Assist material control group when requested in inspection of equipment and material;
Work as Lead Engineer in problem recognition and resolution.
Act as our Client's representative during meetings or at the construction site.
