- Grant Thornton Oman has experienced continued growth and presence within the regional market. We are now seeking to add to our current team and are therefore seeking an External Audit Assistant to join our team.
- Be responsible for the execution of the Grant Thornton audit approach, methodology & tools
- Establish working relationships with client personnel
- Perform analytical review of audit documents
- Review client accounting and operating procedures and systems of internal control
- Identify accounting and auditing issues; perform research to solve issues that arise
- Prepare financial statement reports and documentation supporting Grant Thorntons audit opinion
- Provide recommendations for improved controls and enhanced business efficiency
- Demonstrate ability to plan and manage engagements and people along with ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines
- High degree of self-motivation and strong career aspiration
- Degree in accounting or related field required
- 1 year post qualification experience. Professional qualification: CA, ACCA or CPA
- Currently working in an audit firm
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing). Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (Arabic/English)
- Relevant experience with an international audit firm (Grant Thornton preferred)
- If candidate is shortlisted, attested certificates required.
- Subject to approval of visa clearance based on candidates attested documents.
