J2EE Developers and MS SQL Server DBA for Qatar

Position: MS SQL Server DBA 

Location: Doha, Qatar

Experience: 5+ years

Key Responsibilities:

MS SQL SERVER DBA

- Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business's
- Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
- Test backups to ensure we can meet the business' Recovery TI me Objectives {RTO)
- Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
- Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms
- As new systems are brought in-house, choose whether to use clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Windows Azure, or other technologies
- Install and configure new SQL Servers
- Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors
- When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
- Document the company's database environment

Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineer or related field and a combination of work experience.
- 5+ years of designing databases using Microsoft SQL Server in a professional team environment
- Expert in SQL database development.
- Hands-on experience creating all key database objects - Tables, Views, Triggers, Indices, Stored Procedures, User Defined Functions, Dynamic SQL.
- Ability to troubleshoot/resolve complex database issues.
- Strong database performance tuning experience in a RDBMS environment .
- Strong general ETL I data integration experience; specific experience with SSIS is required.
- Proficient in database modeling & design with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Experience developing/managing large-scale databases.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to achieve results within tight deadlines
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill.

Position: J2EE DEVELOPERS

Location: Doha, Qatar

Experience: 4+ years 

Key Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include the following:

- Engage with key stake holders, internal and external, to understand the product and user requirements of the solutions we are creating.
- Generate appropriate design documents, wireframes and other forms of documentation to clearly represent the solutions being created
- Work with other development team members to allow them to implement the designs, including design and code reviews
- Implementation and coding of solutions
- Generate unit tests and other testing strategies to ensure the products are being tested thoroughly to produce quality products.

Skills & Requirements:

Required candidate experience and skills/capabilities include:

- 4+ years experience as a Java/J2EEdeveloper
- Experience with JSF, Hibernate, EJB, JPA, Glass fish& Tomcat
- Experience working with and designing solutions that use large scale relational databases
- Experience using web development languages including HTML,JavaScript,JSF, AJAX and JSP
- Experience within an agile development methodology, in particular Scrum would be beneficial.
- Development experience in a Linux environment
- Previous work with large scale networks and systems
- Familiar with web technologies such as DWR{Direct Web Remoting) and JQuery.
- Experience working with and designing solutions that use large scale relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
