Mechanical Maintenance Instructor

MAIN DUTIES / TASKS

The Mechanical Maintenance Instructor reports to the Field Training Co-ordinator. His duties are:

To comply with the safety rules and to upgrade the Mechanical Maintenance personnel's' knowledge and skills so as 

to operate in accordance with the required plant safety standards;

To perform the theoretical and practical training phases in accordance with the syllabus and the foreseen schedule;

To familiarise the trainees with the COMPANYS organisation and objectives;

To keep daily record of the trainees attendance 

To monitor and evaluate the performance of the trainees during the On the Job Training by assessing the ability to carry out the assigned practical tasks;

To monitor the behaviour of the trainees by observing the attendance, discipline, reliability and attitude to the job;

Drilling Engineer

1. General Responsibility:

(1)To supervise contractors in the execution of all drilling and associated programs, ensuring that all objectives are met in a safe and efficient manner and in keeping with all regulatory requirements;

(2)Wells' drilling and development operations are run in compliance with the established drilling program, HSE requirements, standards and other Company regulatory documents;

(3)To supervise the maintenance work of drilling related equipment, in accordance with procedures, to ensure safe and efficient operation;

(4)To take prompt action, in the event of an emergency within the drilling package, to safeguard life and minimize damage to properties and any detrimental effect on the environment;

(5)To evaluate and report on the performance of service contractors to safeguard the technical and commercial interests of the company;

(6)To execute thoroughly, any incident investigation, analysis and follow up in order to prevent recurrence;

(7)To train, develop and motivate subordinates (also from other disciplines and contractors), and render technical support and guidance with the aim to promote team spirit;

(8)Monitor the drilling companys HSE performance to ensure that well operations are executed safely and according to Company rules;

(9)Exceptions to this rule of non-intervention:

2. Functions:
(1) Drilling monitoring and management of deviations from plan during carrying out of drilling operations.

To provide recommendations for optimization of well construction process.

To be aware of industry best practices for drilling engineering, directional drilling, surveying and BHA design;

Analyzes the technical and economic performance of the contractors while construction of wells. 

Participates in the organization and holding of daily video/audio conference meetings with contractors on issues related to the performing drilling activities. 

Provides operational reporting to the higher organizations (SOC, LUKOIL and etc) on terms established by the existing regulations. 
(2) Carries out technical supervision of the construction of production wells by the Contractor's drilling crew.

Provides technological assistance in resolving drilling issue and coordinating all deviations from the drilling program in the prescribed manner.

Based on lessons learned and best practices provide recommendations for development of drilling program, aiming to improve drilling process and reduce well construction time.

Continuing studies and analyzes progressive experience in the construction of wells. Improves efficiency and reduces production costs through the introduction of drilling initiatives. 

Optimize casing centralization and running speed, design and simulate optimal cementing method, minimize potential cementing hazards;
(3) Continuous engineering support of rig staff by using Landmark software (torque and drug analysis, hydraulic calculations, accident and incident response plans, measures to prevent or avoid technological risks) for making objective and quick decision.

Provide training to SOC Drilling Engineers on software applications used in DIOC and practical side of Drilling Engineer duties based on DIOC training program.

Summarizes and analyzes the actual implementation of the plan for drilling wells and delivery for the month, quarter or year. Collecting, processing, and analysis of drilling on the basis of daily reports, documents and well inspection reports.

Participates in the development of technical documents such as drilling standards, procedures, best practices, drilling operation manuals and etc. aimed to improve drilling operations based on received knowledge and experience. 

Forecast and analyse the drill string shock and vibration, provide predictions of the BHA tendency and bit performance. 

Participates in review and checks of drilling operation forecast (7, 14 days operations forecast) to assure compliance with detailed drilling program.

(3)Experience in fishing (twisted drillstring, wireline tools stuck and etc.);

(4)Good theoretical and practical skills in well control situations;

(5)At least 5 years in international companies (desirable);

(6)At least 2 years work experience in MENA region (desirable);
5.Professional knowledge, skills and capabilities:
(1)Knowledge of appropriate procedures for emergency situations during drilling, elimination of accidents and acquisitions;

Drilling Supervisor

1. General Responsibility:
(1)Wells' drilling and development operations are run in compliance with the established drilling program, HSE requirements, standards and other Company regulatory documents;

(2)Reduction of non-productive time and accidents during well construction;

(3)Monitor the drilling companys HSE performance to ensure that well operations are executed safely and according to Company rules;

(4)Responsibility to inform the Drilling Contractor and the Company in case of inadequate performance of Company rules;

(5)Advise on suitable corrective action but must not take the responsibility to implement such action or directly supervise the drilling contractor personal. This is the responsibility of the drilling contractor;

(6)Exceptions to this rule of non-intervention:

(7)Where there is immediate risk to personnel, equipment or the environment, the Drilling Supervisor has the right and duty to stop the work;

HSE deficiencies relating to Company personnel or visitors at the rig site;

2. Functions:
(1) Carries out technical supervision of the construction of production wells by the Contractor's drilling crew;

Provides technical assistance in resolving drilling issue and coordinating all deviations from the approved drilling program;

Drilling Supervisor at the well cluster shall maintain a control over preparation of the daily drilling reports and their daily submission to Company via e-mail and /or in OpenWells system , and also data input from the daily drilling reports to well file system Landmark Openwells, and providing to Company in Landmark Openwells (General well data, Time summary, Hole Sections, Drillstrings, Survey, Fluids, Materials, Leak off test, Fluid Management, Mud inventory, Pump operations, personnel ,Safety, Arrive/departure check list, Intervention, Daily equipment, Comments);

Supervise all Contractors in the day-to-day execution of approved drilling programs, inform the Company immediately about any significant problem, incident or deviation from drilling program;

Be directly involved in critical operations, cementing, well control, casing jobs, casing test, drill outs, displacements, stack landing and disconnect, stuck pipe ops and etc.; 

Ensure an adequate inventory of equipment and materials is maintained on the drilling site to carry out the work as per drilling program; 

Best practices and Lessons learned capturing;

Based on lessons learned and best practices provide recommendations for development of drilling program, aiming to improve drilling process and reduce well construction time;

Participates in the development of technical documents such as drilling standards, procedures, best practices, drilling operation manuals and etc., aimed to improve drilling operations based on received knowledge and experience; 

Submit to Company any requested data and information that may be required for carrying out the relevant engineering calculations for execution of drilling program; 

Participates in daily video/audio conference meetings with Company and provide last 24 hours update and plans for the next 24 hours, discuss issues related to the performing drilling activities; 

Be responsible for participating in the Technical Incident investigation process;

Participates in review and checks of drilling operation forecast (7, 14 days operations forecast) to assure compliance with detailed drilling program. 
(2) Witness all operations on the rig site to protect the best interests of Company; 

Monitor the availability and completeness of Contractor's equipment before performing various operations on the well and maintain accurate well materials inventory documentation;

Directly involved in pre tour and evening third party meetings;

Prepare, sign and send casing tallies, cement job, pressure test reports to Company relevant people;

For Out Of Scope Works should sign all DDR, DMR, services for proper validation due to day rate;

Be point of contact for Company service personnel.

Determines of well trajectory in the borehole section by RMS software; 
Assesses (analyzes) process parameters of well construction using RMS software products; 
Evaluating (analysis) the implementation of design solutions; 
(2) Controls over performance of the works and basic process operations in term of geology according to the requirements of the well construction design; 
Provide training to SOC Geology Engineers on software applications used in DIOC and practical side of Geology Engineer duties based on DIOC training program. 
Controls and adjusts the well trajectory versus the updated formation sector model and LWD data aiming to penetrate the pay zone to the maximum extent; 
Performs prompt interpretation of LWD data acquired in real time in the course of drilling 
Updates the formation sector model in the course of drilling to make further decision on well trajectory optimization; 
Provide recommendations for horizontal wells in production formations while drilling (geosteering); 
Provides recommendations versus the formation sector model aiming to achieve the maximum productivity; 
Determines coring and cuttings sampling intervals based on the correlation with the previously drilled wells and adjusts according to LWD data intermediate logs and mud logs; 
Performs 3D imaging of the wellbore situation in the course of drilling with the use of the monitoring center software for control and timely adjustment of the well trajectory aiming to achieve the optimal trajectory; 
Perform prompt correlation of the previously drilled wells to the wells under drilling; 
Adjusts the casing intervals and provides recommendations on completion systems according to LWD data, intermediate and final logs and mud logs;

1. General Responsibility:
(1) Review compliance of the Drilling Contractor to his policies and procedures the safety checks, inspections and incident investigations conducted by the contractor, including the timely close-out of remedial actions;

(2)Anticipate needs, ensure the availability of all material and products on rig site, including needs for emergency situations;

(3)Provides technical solutions when unexpected operational difficulties arise, make sure they are efficient and practical when it comes to implementation on the Field;

(4)Optimize the activities of providers and assess their performance and follows up all the quality controls tests requested from contractors or from Operator's HQ;

(5)Reducing non-productive time in well construction;

(6)Monitor the drilling companys HSE performance to ensure that well operations are executed safely and responsibly according to Company rules;

(7)Responsibility to inform the Drilling Contractor and the Company representative in case of inadequate performance Company rules;

(8)Advise on suitable corrective action but must not take the responsibility to implement such action of directly supervise the drilling contractor personal. This is the responsibility of the drilling contractor.

(9)Exceptions to this rule of non-intervention:

Where there is immediate risk to personnel, equipment or the environment, the Drilling Supervisor has the right and duty to stop the work;

HSE deficiencies relating to Company personnel or visitors at the rig site;

HSE deficiencies relating to equipment and materials owned or leased by Company.

2. Functions:
- Inform the Drilling Manager immediately about any significant problem, incident change to program;

- Continually monitor the effectiveness of the ongoing operational process, and report on same to the Drilling Manager;

1. General Responsibility:
(1)Avoid/reduce/minimize NPT due to unavailability or deficit of material and equipment on wellsite;

(2)Control timely provision of necessary materials and equipment and spare parts to wellsite and their effective usage for drilling/workover operations without NPT;

(3)Control over drilling/workover contractors for proper fulfilment of their contractual obligations in terms of procurement and logistics;

(4)Make available reports and classified database for requested, transferred, stocked, used and utilized assets when drilling wells or during workover;

(5)Perform trips to wellsite when and if necessary to perform functions (such as but not only: for physical inventory of material and equipment);

(6)Inform the relevant Manager in case of inadequate Company procedures or ineffective performance by the Contractor;

HSE deficiencies relating to equipment and materials owned or leased by Company. 

2.Functions:
(1)Point of contact for logistic and material control issues with Contractor;

(2)Control the availability and completeness of Contractor's equipment for operations on well;

(3)May participate in pre job meetings to encourage proper planning and safe operations in logistic and material control aspect;

(4)Perform and monitor material movements in SAP;

(5)Accurate well materials inventory, material issue and utilization and documentation support;

(6)Prepare well completion certificates/acts/reports in aspects of logistics and material control;

(7)Supervise Drilling/Workover Contractor in the day-to-day action on logistic matters;

(8)Regular trips to well sites for supporting & physical inspection of materials (physically check availability of casing, tubing, pup joints, wellheads, x-overs, and etc.);

(9)Inform the relevant Manager and/or Drilling/Workover Supervisor and/or Drilling/Workover Engineer immediately about any significant insufficiency, deficit or unnecessary excess of the material/equipment on wellsite;

(10)Provide support to the relevant Manager, Drilling/Workover Engineer and Drilling/Workover Supervisor on logistic matters during drilling/workover operations;

(11)Maintain, classify and update the information/database concerning movement of material assets for operations, and namely keep record of all Company tools, casing and wellheads, spare parts, sealing materials and expendables sent, transferred, present, used or utilized on wellsite;

(12)Report on materials movement from SAP and internal materials data base;

(13)Check SAP stocks to identify items for material utilization reports and make the utilization reports for drilled wells;

(14)Check certificates of drilling/workover stage well acceptance for correct information on materials, their quantity, nomenclature, serial numbers and other identifications to be correctly utilized for drilled wells, make final versions of these and other certificates and well file documents and coordinate their approval;

(15)Check casing/tubing tallies for wells drilling/workover for correct information on quantity, nomenclature and property of casing, pipe and other tools to be correctly utilized;

(16)Request inventory from wellsite from Contractor and/or from Company representative/Drilling or Workover Supervisor for material and equipment currently available on wellsite;

(17)Work closely with Drilling/Workover Contractor, and company procurement & logistics group, and warehouse to ensure adequate time, quantity and correctness of material and equipment to be supplied for drilling/workover operation, for which ensures and coordinates material movement from bases (warehouses) to wellsite, and from wellsite outside contract area;

(18)Monitor look ahead and organize equipment mobilization/demobilization as necessary;

(19)Prepare and check shipment and support documentation to issue materials to contractors, prepare documents to issue stocks out from SAP system and utilized on wells, and provide for adequate storage and filing of the documents electronically for continuous access of all authorized personnel and management of the company;

(20)Attend as required meetings with contractors to control projects development, immediate problems solutions within competence perimeter regarding materials availability and utilization for drilling/workover operations in order to cross check against contractors liabilities according to contract;

(21)Support of documentation flow for equipment mobilization/demobilization in regards of custom clearance, importation and re-export documentation, prolongation etc.;

(22)Provide coordination and support to the contractor and company on equipment mobilization/demobilization, importation and re-export;

(23)Prepare electronic requests via corporate media for equipment importation, re-export, prolongation and etc.;

(24)Liaise with Drilling/Workover Contractor on daily basic to anticipate drilling/workover needs;

(25)Ensure Material Requests are issued in a timely manner to avoid disruption of operation;

(26)Follow and participate in forecast and planning activity regarding resource requirements to meet operational demands and provide optimum efficiency of services;

2. Functions:
(1) Management and supervision at all stages of workover (WO) rig and Rigless operations, ensuring incident free as per Company's requirements;

Manage daily operations meetings with workover and service contractors, discuss and communicate a daily operations plan with service contractors, discus next operation plan considering the lessons learnt on operations improvement;

Coordinate workover contractor at different stages of operations;

Monitor and keep records of materials consumption related to well workover;

Ensure the Contractor's familiarization with all stages of the work program;

Make operational decisions within his/her competence on process optimization for well completion, workover and EOR;

Ensure effective use of equipment, engagement of service contractors to execute works; 

Make proposals for optimization of processes/equipment during well completion;

Monitor the process of moving rig equipment to new well location; 

Control over elimination of the identified deficiencies/equipment replacement;

Verify availability and qualification of the contractors engineering personnel;

Provide advisory, conduct training of contractor's personnel on how to work the equipment; 

Consider and prevent potential technical risks during the work performance;

Analyze the data and generate Lesson Learned on the operations completed;

Provide to the Company time analysis with detailed description;

Act as a mentor for less experienced workers;

Supervise detailed Rig Incident Prevention inspection before acceptance the well;

Ensure execution of rig inspection as per Company check list while rig acceptance; 

Analyze, keep productive time records, and define necessary measures towards reducing the time of operations; 

Monitor the schedule of safety drills conducted at the rig site;

Participate in weekly HSE audits jointly with Company's and Contractor's representatives to identify violations, high potential incidents and conditions;

Monitor implementation of the HSE audit issues prescriptions;

Monitor implementation of prescriptions by Contractor's representatives;

Participate and support the STOP card program implementation; 

Monitor the implementation of sanitary-hygienic standards at the workover rig and workover camp;

Maintain accurate well materials inventory documentation;

Participate in incident investigation;

Participate in daily SIMOPS meetings on prevention of conflicting activities.
(2) Ensure effective communication with Third Party Contractors who provide services for Workover operations by detailed written communication;

Ensure of provision and execution of Company technical standards, guidelines, lesson learned, Company bests practice to the third party Contractors; 

Ensure of preparation documents for monthly operational & quality meeting with third party Contractors; 

Take a part, attend and participate in the rigs safety meetings;

Distribute Companys and external Safety Alerts to the contractor;

Support the contractors safety initiatives (e.g. STOP, Dropped-objects) through participation;

Attend Pre Job Safety meetings and highlight the HSE requirements of the workover program.
(3) Ensure handover from shift to shift for proper execution of Work Program;

Reporting regarding operational activity; 

Timely enter, check and correct data in Open Wells during the well operations on each well;

Prepare and distribute following reports to the Company reps (list to be provided*):

Well operation status over 28 days period;

Check & verify EOWR for completed wells within 2 days after well Completion;

Incident information (investigation reports);

Equipment & material status;

Morning reports: every last 24hour operations report at 04:00AM inclusive but not limited to, HSE Workover Contractor report; POB; Workover Contractor activity report; Operation lookahead; Man-hours; brine consumption list (the form will be provided by company). The same 24hours operations report should be entered in Open Wells Database till 04:AM;

Afternoon reports: Every 12 hours summary operations report (from 4AM to 4PM) should be accurately prepared and distributed to the Company;

Handovers process for12 hrs shift change:

Prepare and distribute handover report for day/night shift change every 12hrs(via email);

Provide Operation Look ahead for next 12hrs for Company review and approval; 

Following reports shall be provided to the Company at the end of the shift:

Shift activity report for 28 days. 

* The Company has a right to modify reports numbers, time and reporting process by own Company decision.

3. HSE Responsibility:
(1)Provide and ensure execution of Company HSE policies, Guidelines by Workover Contractors Personnel;

(2)Review and report to Company compliance of the Workover Contractor to his policies and procedures the safety checks, inspections and incident investigations conducted by the contractor, including the timely close-out of remedial actions;

(3)Ensure the contractors Permit to the Company Work System is being complied with;

(4)Generally observe for compliance to safe working practices (e.g. safe lifting and slinging, welding, working at height, use of PPE, etc.);

(5)Lead safety process to enhance existing HSE programs;

(6)Manage HSE activities at the rig site;

(7)Monitor that Contractor follows and complies with HSE requirements as stated in the contract;

(8)Facilitate implementation of the 3rd parties Safety Program. Support their safety observations and follow up;

(9)Discuss their observations with Workover Manager, and log them into the Daily Operational Report;

(10)Workover Supervisor is expected to be at all pre-tour safety meetings, all weekly general safety meetings, participate in well control drills. Workover Supervisor is expected to participate in pre job meetings to encourage proper planning and safe operations for all critical operations;

(11)Encourage Workover Contractor to facilitate discussions of their Safety Management in regards to Company safety expectation;

(12)Ensure execution safety meeting with Rig personnel at the beginning of every 12 hrs shift;

(13)Participate in weekly HSE audits jointly with Company's and Contractor's representatives to identify violations, high potential incidents and conditions;

(14)Communicate immediately any observation of unsafe act or practice, by informing Rig Toolpusher and Company Workover Superintendent. Require the contractor's immediate action;

(15)Submit Observation Act to Company Workover Superintendent and register in Pending item Action list;

(16)Fill in Incident/Accident Reporting Paperwork;

In the case of a serious injury, ensures that the injured employee receives prompt medical attention, isolates the area and/or the equipment as necessary and immediately reports the incident to the Dispatching Department in accordance with the Notification chart. In case of a dangerous occurrence, the Workover & Completion Supervisor should take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition and, isolate the area and/or the equipment. As soon as possible, details of the incident and any action taken should be reported to the Company Workover Superintendent Manager;

(17)Provide clear leadership in all aspects of health, safety and environmental protection and promote the Company HSE standards;

Immediately cease performing any work if it becomes unsafe;

(5)Advise on suitable corrective action but must not take the responsibility to implement such action of directly supervise the mud logging contractor personal. This is the responsibility of the mud logging contractor;.

(9)HSE deficiencies relating to equipment and materials owned or leased by LME.
2.Functions:
(1)Reducing non-productive time due to unappropriated mud logging services in well construction;.

Reducing mud logging service timecosts by way of optimizing process solutions;.

Monitor the mud logging company's HSE performance to ensure that all operations are executed safely and responsibly according to LME rules;.

Responsibility to inform the Drilling Contractor, Drilling Supervisor and the LME Geology Superintendent in case of inadequate performance LME rules;.

Advise on suitable corrective action but must not take the responsibility to implement such action of directly supervise the mud logging contractor personal. This is the responsibility of the mud logging contractor;.

Exceptions to this rule of "non-intervention":

Where there is immediate risk to personnel, equipment or the environment, the Geology Supervisor has the right and duty to stop the work;

HSE deficiencies relating to LME personnel or visitors at the rig site;

HSE deficiencies relating to equipment and materials owned or leased by LME.

(2) Control Mud Logging sensors and Unit rig-up, control tools/equipment/sensors calibration and Mud Logging unit start-up. Sign commissioning act after start-up;

Monitor the availability and completeness of Mud Logging Contractor's equipment before performing various operations on the well;

Control all operations carried out by Mud Logging contractor on the well, including but not limited to data quality control, mud logging unit sensors and equipment technical conditions;

Control on daily basis technology and geology data quality provided by Mud Logging contractor, sensors calibrations prior drilling each well sections;

Monitor the mud logging contractor performance to ensure that all operations are executed according to service contract scope of work and drilling program;

Control accuracy services provided for payment performed services by Mud Logging contractor;

To co-ordinate the collection of all data to be transmitted by Mud Logging contractor to Geology & Reservoir Engineering Directorate and IOC and to ensure the correctness, content and quality of such data; 

Control drill cutting sampling, description, litho-bituminological analysis and photo by Mud Logging contractor as per drilling program; 

Monitor of washed and unwashed drill cutting packing as per SOC standards and preparation for transfer to SOC Drill Cutting storage for permanent storage;

Organize and control core processing by coring contractor on a well-site;

Perform preliminary core and core chips description during core processing on a well-site;

Ensure all well drilling, MWD/LWD logging and coring programs are fulfilled;

Take part and control coring operations, LWD/MWD logging and downhole sampling by contractors;

Monitor pore pressure data on site; Direct involvement in critical operations such as: well control situations, casing jobs, casing test, drill outs, displacements, stack landing and disconnect, stuck pipe ops;

Perform geology and litho-stratigraphy analysis of drilled formations based on drill cuttings, gas data, MWD/LWD, wireline log est.; 

Analyze and compare all available data obtained during drilling the offset wells;

Analyze and compare all data obtained during well drilling;

Evaluate possibilities of incidents during drilling of the formations, takes early preventive for avoidance. Inform Drilling Supervisor about potential problems occur during drilling (mud losses; swellable clays; caving shales ets.); 

Suggest casing, coring and sampling points according to well drilling program; 

Analyze geology data to define possible oil/gas bearing intervals outside main productive formations;

Collect and prepare geology reports, list of reports and reporting time shall be amended by Company; 

Download geology information and reports in to corporate file data base;

Attachment of geology and mud logging reports files received from Mud Logging Contractor to Open Wells report;

Geology Supervisor is responsible for submittal to DIOC daily reports on operations performed at the rig site and also for any requested data and information that may be required for carrying out the relevant calculations by the DIOC engineers within the execution of well drilling program by the Company;

Geology Supervisor at the well cluster shall maintain a control over preparation of the daily geology reports and their daily submittal to DIOC, Central Operations Support Department via e-mail and /or in Open Wells system , and also data input from the daily geology reports to well file system Landmark Open Wells, and providing to DIOC in Landmark Open Wells;

Geology Supervisor at the well cluster may consult, request information and data, interact with DIOC engineers according to DIOC Operations Procedure (See DIOC Operations Procedure);

Check and verify End Of Well Report provided by mud logging contractor;

Prepare End of Well Analysis report for drilled well and End of well analysis for the cluster; 

Participate in the meeting between Mud Logging contractor and Geology Superintendent, coordinate daily operations with Geology Superintendent;

Communicate with Geology Superintendent on regular basis;
(3)Day to Day Execution

Supervise Mud Logging, Coring Contractor in the day-to-day execution of all approved drilling programs;

Inform the Geology Superintendent immediately about any significant problem, incident or change to program;

Prepares and communicates accurate daily morning report with the contribution of the appropriate service companies;

Providing technical support the Drilling Supervisor and Drilling Engineer on the daily Well Operations activities;

Continually monitor the effectiveness of the ongoing operational process, and report on same to the Geology Superintendent;

In case of unplanned events on the well, take prompt remedial action as necessary to safeguard life, avoid damage to the environment and minimize damage to assets and notifies the Geology Superintendent as soon as possible;

Witness critical operations such as, but not limited to, mud loggin sensors calibration, core processing and packing on the rig, preperforated liners assemble, etc.;

Use knowledge and experience to analyze problems on the well, then propose the most effective solution to the Geology Superintendent;

Ensure that all lessons learned are reported to the Geology Superintendent on an ongoing basis;

Identify potential risks/hazards related to the activities being executed and report on them to the Geology Superintendent;

Best interests of the Company

Maintain Ethical Standards of Behavior;

Ensure that all relevant information (e.g. geologic, cost, etc.) remain confidential;

Act to strengthen companys position in the areas of responsibility;

Equipment and Planning

Liaise with Mud Logging Contractor on daily basic to anticipate drilling needs;

Ensures Equipment and Material Requests are issued in a timely manner to avoid disruption of operation;

Communicates with Geology Superintendent about daily operations on a regular basis;

Participate & co-lead daily planning and operational meetings and discusses operations with mud logging contractor and third parties;

Ensure that equipment & tools checked, inspected and recorded prior to use;

Maintain accurate Companys equipment inventory;

Ensures adequate handover to his relief.
3. HSE Requirements:
(1)Promote the LME HSE standards;

(2)Attend and participate in the rig's weekly safety meetings;

(3)Distribute LME and external Safety Alerts to the contractor;

(4)Support the contractor's safety initiatives (e.g. STOP, Dropped-objects) through participation;

(5)Attend Pre-spud meetings and highlight the HSE requirements of the drilling program;

(6)Immediately inform the line management of the drilling contractor (or service company, as appropriate) of any HSE concerns;

(7)Lead safety process to enhance existing HSE programs;

(8)Monitor that Contractor follows and complies with HSE requirements as stated in the contract;

(9)Facilitate implementation of the 3rd parties Safety Program. Support their safety observations and follow up;

(10)Discuss their observations with Geology Superintendent, and log them into the Daily Geology Report;

(11)Geology Supervisor is expected to be at all pre tour safety meetings, all weekly general safety meetings. Geology Supervisor is expected to participate in pre job meetings to encourage proper planning and safe operations for all critical operations;

(12)Encourage Mud Logging Contractor to facilitate discussions of their Safety Management in regards to LME safety expectation;

(13)Communicate immediately any observation of unsafe act or practice, by informing Drilling Supervisor and LME Geology Superintendent. Require the contractor's immediate action;

(14)Submit Observation Act to LME Geology and Reservoir Engineering directorate and register in Pending item Action list;

In the case of a serious injury, ensures that the injured employee receives prompt medical attention, isolates the area and/or the equipment as necessary and immediately reports the incident to the Dispatching Department in accordance with the Notification chart. In case of a dangerous occurrence, the Geology Supervisor should take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition and, isolate the area and/or the equipment. As soon as possible, details of the incident and any action taken should be reported to the Geology Superintendent;

(15)Provide clear leadership in all aspects of health, safety and environmental protection and promote the LME HSE standards;

Immediately cease performing any work if it becomes unsafe;

(16)Review compliance of the Mud Logging Contractor to his policies and procedures, for example, the safety checks, inspections and incident investigations conducted by the contractor, including the timely close-out of remedial actions;

(17)Immediately inform the line management of the mud logging contractor, Company's Central Operations Support /Project Manager/Site Manager of any HSE concerns;
4. Relevant Professional Experience:
At least 5 years of working experience in oil and gas industry;

At least 3 years of working experience as Well Site Geologist in Service Company;

At least 3 years of working experience as mud logging unit Data Engineer in Service Company;

Experience of managing drilling problems such as mud losses (including total losses), stuck pipe, pack-off; 

Experience in Wireline/LWD/MWD operations including on-site stratigraphic correlation (based on cuttings, well logs etc.);

Experience in coring operations including on-site core description;

Experience of working in multicultural environment to be open and transparent communicator in divers multidiscipline team;

Experience of working in MENA region (harsh environment);At least 5 years of working experience in oil and gas industry;.

Well Logging Supervisor

1. General Responsibility:
(1)Well Logging Supervisor shall have permanent, well equipped working place in office (Laptop, mobile phone with local sim card, office stationeries, network access will be provided by Company).

(2)Well Logging Supervisor shall be able to visit any well site at any time to monitor activities of Well Logging Contractors obeying transportation rules for Companys employees; (transport with mobile security and static security service if necessary will be provided by Company).

(3)Well Logging Supervisor shall obey all applicable Company rules (including work day schedule, dress code, usage of phones and computers etc);.

(4)Well Logging Supervisor shall prepare and timely submit daily information about well Logging and Slickline operations in the English language to Production Logging and Well Testing Manager by required time. Shall Ccomply to thewith requirements of the Company reporting system;

(5)Monitor the Well Logging, Perforation, Production Logging and Slickline Contractors HSE performance to ensure that well operations are executed safely and responsibly according to Company rules;.

(6)Advise on suitable corrective action but must not take the responsibility to implement such action of Well Logging, Perforation, Production Logging and Slickline Contractors personal. This is the responsibility of the Well Logging, Perforation, Production Logging and Slickline Contractors.

2. Functions:
(1)Monitoring Of Activities Of Well Logging, Perforation And Slickline Operations Contractor

Execute documentary and technical supervision of all Well Logging, Perforation and Slickline operations on Companys wells during drilling, completion and producing stages;.

Direct monitor the Well Logging, Perforation, Production Logging and Slickline operation at the well site (if necessary on 24 hours basis, often without accommodation on the well site);.

Monitor the availability and completeness of Contractor's equipment before performing various operations on the well;.

Ensure that equipment & tools checked, inspected and recorded prior to being run in the hole or prior to use;.

Direct monitor rig up procedures of all surface and downhole equipment for ordered services; 

Monitoring of observation by Service Provider in Well Logging, Perforation, Production Logging and/or Slickline the schedule of maintenance, calibration and verification of downhole and other equipment (if applicable);.

Primary quality control of all received data. Immediate reporting to the Company in case of data quality is lower than standard one;.

Primary check of Contractors equipment for exit out of Contract Area.

(2) Before And After Logging Paperworks:

Prepare and provide for approval Service Orders for Well Logging, Perforation, Production Logging and Slickline Services;.

Monitor preparation of the Working Program by Service Contractor representatives;.

Help Service Provider in Well Logging, Perforation, Production Logging and/or Slickline to receive Permit to work for lifting operations and other works on producing wells if necessary;.

Review and approve Field Ticket for performed services (scope of work only);.

Timely preparation of exit pass for Contractors equipment;.
(3)Solving Problems

Communicate to Company and help to receive solutions to any issues during Service performance;.

Develop and submit for Companys approval recommendations in case the operations deviate from the Logging Program;.
(4)Collecting, Registration Data Received 

Collecting and registration of all Well Logging, Perforation, Production Logging and/or Slickline data and results;.

Quick transferring of all received data to Companys office;.

Make necessary records in Companys database about all concluded services;.

Data (printed diagrams and CDs) collection, verification and preparation for transfer to SOC (including covering letter).
(5)Planning Jobs

Check the well readiness for planning intervention. Receive the permission for the work from SIMOPS representative;.

Coordinate all activities on the well sites related to named services;.

Discuss and approve parameters of mud, drilling or reaming to receive proper LWD data.

3. HSE Responsibility:
Is responsible for his/her own health and safety;

Ensures that his actions will not jeopardize safety and health of other employees;

Obeys safety rules, particularly regarding the use of PPE or other safety equipment;

Learns and follows HSE procedures for the safe performance of assigned job.
4.Relevant Professional Experience:
All personnel should have minimum 2 years of working experience as Field Service Manager in major service Companies (Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes or Weatherford);.

All personnel should have minimum 3 years of working experience as Wireline Field Engineer in major service Companies (Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes or Weatherford);.

For all personnel its mandatory to have practical experience in individual performing of open and cased hole logging, wireline and tubing conveyed perforation, production logging;.

Personnel with the experience of working for LME at the same position shall have preferences;.

All personnel shall have previous MENA working experience;.

HSE & Technical Training Supervisor

- To develop, supervise and coordinate contract-specific Training Programs that will improve the competency of existing maintenance technicians.

- To participate in implementation of Succession (Iraqization) Program.

- Conduct Initial Competence Assessment. 

- Design Training Matrix and develop individual Training Plans.
