Client of Cygnus Staffing Solutions, a leading Heavy Infra American MNC in Tunnel Projects looking for Sr. Surveyor and Geologist for one of their International Project in CHILE, South America.

Senior Geologist

Junior Geologist

Responsibilities:

• Exploring of New lease areas, Geological Mapping in Green fields and Sampling
• Transformation of field data on to the map.
• Preparation of detailed Geological Logging of Boreholes involving identification of different strata.
• Identify the mineral percentage in the field itself by the use of Field/Hand XRF.
• Preparation of Individual samples and composite samples for Geochemical analysis.
• Magnetic survey for the base metals by the use of Proton & Geotron magnetometer.
• Integrates and interprets data related to RC and core drilling data, geologic mapping, geophysical data, as well as geochemical data.
• Skills to calculate the mineral percentages of different samples by using PANalytical XRF.
• Preparing pellets and Analysing the ore minerals like Iron, Manganese, heavy minerals, Major, Minor and trace elements with help of XRF by using the international standards as per client requirement.
• Validate interpretative and analytical data as received.
• Considerable Resource estimation experience with the ability to carry out JORC compliant reporting of Reserves and Resources with minimum supervision
• Creation and maintenance of both structural and quality geological models using industry recognised softwares Gemcom Minex and Surpac
• Proposes new or more efficient work practices to optimise performance and to ensure adherence to industry regulations and organisational standards
• Conduct extensive QA/QC monitoring to ensure data and interpretations are accurate.
• Maintenance of Geological databases, including Survey, downhole survey, lithology, downhole geophysics and coal quality data/mineral assays.
• Collaborate with the engineering, Exploration, and Environment teams to coordinate all aspects of the geological resource and reserve processes pertaining to all aspects of the project.
• Recommend updates or changes to the resource modeling process to improve quality and efficiency and ensure any modifications are consistently implemented and documented.
• Independently handles duties in Geological Operations including detailed geological logging, ensuring geosciences best practice, drill planning, developing interpreted geological sections for resource modeling and report writing
• Prepares GIS based detailed maps, graphs, charts, records, and reports.
• Designs, implements, maintains, and organizes activities involving GIS spatial/attribute components of the utility network for the department.
• Coordinates developing new databases and migrating existing data into a GIS format
• Knowledge in correlating seismic and well data in petrel software.
• Proposes new or more efficient work practices to optimise performance and to ensure adherence to industry regulations and organisational standards

Qualifications:  Bsc / Msc Geology

• Marking of SEISMIC ARRESTERS marking for Bridges.
• Meets with design engineers, and construction managers to Organize & manage survey activities.
• Making Survey inspection with Consultant Surveyors.
• Helping the site team and in preparing work procedure and method statement.
• Setting out of centre line and leveling.
• Traversing of control points.
• Preparations of Detailed Project Report.
• Making of FRL sheet according to Design drawings
• Traversing control point and doing important Topographic survey

• Preparing and submitted survey report

• Making of level sheet according to Design drawings.
• Setting out of Coloum Alignment and Leveling works.
• Making Survey inspection with Consultant Surveyors.

• Layout Marking of the excavation for underpass, Tunnels.

Qualification : Graduate / Post Graduate

Experience : 5 to 15 years
