Manager - EDM Section
- Job Description :
Position Summary : An experienced Mold manufacturing professional well versed in latest EDM techniques. Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the EDM section. Participate in Mold manufacturing reviews, electrode design optimization etc. to reduce EDM time. Co-ordinate with internal departments. Ensure readiness of work-piece, Program, electrode etc. to reduce macine down-time and enhance unmanned machine. Management of electrodes before and after use. Train and lead the team to achieve high level of Quality, machine utilization and safety consistently.
Specific Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Supervisors and Operators in EDM section to meet production targets
Planning of machine loading as per plan and ensuring preparedness of inputs including program and electrodes
Participate in Mold manufacturing reviews by giving suggestions to reduce EDM time
Inputs to CAM for quantity of electrodes and effective Spark Gaps
Co-ordination with CAM and VMC section for availability of electrodes as per plan
Hands-on experience on latest CNC EDM machines.
Enhance unmanned machining
Electrode management
Should be conversant with EROWA or System 3R referencing systems
Create and establish SOPs for all major operations in EDM section
Maintain traceability of Electrodes including all electrode inspection reports
Implement continuous improvement culture in team by KAIZENs etc.
Achieve high level of OEE
Conduct Preventive and Predictive maintenance of machines as per plan
Qualifications:
Degree / Diploma in Tooling with 8 - 15 years of experience in precision Tool Room
Interpretation of prints, Geometric tolerances
Knowledge on jigs and fixtures.
Proficiency in 3D CAD / CAM (EDM module) platform
Proficiency in EDM technology

Interpersonal Skills :Should be able to speak with employees, other department managers, and senior management
Leadership Skills : Should Lead & motivate the workforce & imparting continuous on job training to the subordinates.
Problem solving skill : Must be able to provide cost effective and durable solution to complex mold related problems.

- Tool Assembly Manager
- Job Description :
Position Summary : An experienced professional with hand-on experience in Mold Assemby, Mold maintenance, Hot-runner systems, Tool Trials and trouble-shooting. Manage day-to-day operations of the tool assembly section. Conduct Tool maintenance program for preventive, predictive maintenance. Support break-down maintenance through quick responce teams. Enhance MTBF, reduce MTTR and conduct improvement programs on resolution Chronic issues. Feedback to Design and Manufacruting teams for continual improvement. Knowledge of mold polishing and mold welding technology.
Specific Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Engineers and Tool-makers to achieve production targets
Plan & execute Tool preventive , predictive mainenance & Mold polising adhering to the production schedules.
Effective accountability & management of MTTR , MTBF & establishing the corrective measure.
Identification of potential tool spare & managing the inventory min. max. level.
Expertise in implementing cost saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in cost of spares within budget.
"Management of tool room activities as per IATF 16949 , establishing safety standards,timely review & updation of department
documents as per standard."
Should have exposure to implement WCM practices, Lean manufacturing, SGA, TPM,Continual improvements.
Participation in Design review to ensure that the molds meet customer specification and meet North American tool standards.
Participation in New mould trials , suggestion , correction & effective implementation in order to smoothen the production right from inception.
Ability to train all teach in machining and tool maintenance principles
Ability to manage new technology to improve tool room effeciency.
Qualifications:
Degree / Diploma in Tooling with 12 to 15 years of experience in Precision Tool Room
Experience with mold design , DFM, and hot runner systems.
Interpretation of prints, Geometric tolerances
Knowledge on jigs and fixtures.
Basic Autocad and ProE, Solidworks, knowledge
Ability to interpret mold flow analysis and come with recommendations to better mold design
