One of our leading Clients, a reputed Multi-National Group in Oil & Gas Sector invites applications for the above position, for their operations in Oman.
Site Manager - Maintenance & Turnarounds
The desired candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Ensure that all site operations are undertaken & delivered safely in full compliance with both Company's & Clients HSE procedures.
- Full overall responsibility & oversight of all aspects of the project in full compliance with both Company's & Clients QA / QC procedures.
- Profitable delivery of the project in accordance with business requirements.
- Develop a team-based ethos founded on can do principles with a collaborative working approach.
- Full responsibility for the safe & profitable delivery of all aspects of the project in compliance with all contractual requirements, ensure that resource usage is optimized.
- Early, clear & effective communication between all stakeholders.
- Identify the resourcing requirements for respective project segments, including staffing and plant to ensure that these are on time, suitable for the required task and demobilized efficiently.
- Lead project management team meetings on a frequent & regular basis to co-ordinate all activities.
- Ensure compliance with both Company's & Clients governance processes & procedures always.
- Monitor performance of suppliers and subcontractors with regards to the requirements of the Project.- Report on a monthly basis on all operational, commercial & financial aspects of the project
The desired candidate must fulfill the following criteria:
EXPERIENCE:
- B.Tech or BE graduate (Mechanical) from a reputable recognized university.
- Holder of relevant NEBOSH qualification (or suitable alternative)
- Minimum of 5 years work experience at a similar position with background in maintenance & turnarounds associated with onshore oil and gas production facilities within live environments, of which 3 years gained in the Middle East (preferably in The Sultanate of Oman).
- Proven experience of managing maintenance contracts within the Oil & Gas sectors (LNG Plants a definite advantage)
- Management of a multi-cultural workforce (standing 350 increasing for shutdowns)
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES:
- Make safety a personal priority
- Must have a can do mentality & attitude
- High level of personal integrity & leadership skills
- Self- motivated & able to work under pressure with minimum supervision in a remote desert environment.
- Commercially & contractually aware.
- Highly competent at project planning.
- Excellent communicator with ability to communicate exceptionally well within the project team.
- Excellent organizational & time management skills & able to work well under pressure to tight deadlines
GENERIC SKILLS:
- Excellent written & spoken English
- Computer literate with high level ability to use Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Understanding of common proprietary planning software suites & in PrimaveraP6 planning software
- Understanding of risk management / project controls & mitigation techniques
