PEB Group of companies, based in Europe, started its Asia operations in 1994 and was one of the first company to bring the Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings technology to the East Asia region. We specializes in the Design, Fabrication, and Erection of pre-engineered steel buildings (P.E.B.), steel structures for factories, warehouses, showrooms, commercial/ trade centers, supermarkets, sports stadiums, exhibition halls, aircraft hangars, etc. 
Company is operating with plus 300 employees in Myanmar and leading the PEB Market

    Objective :
    • Manages Design team and Drafting team effectively to achieve the target and to provide good technical service for winning projects and satisfying customers. 
    • This position is also in charge of updating and implementing new technical knowledge/ trends into the business to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations, customer requirements and company policies.

    Responsibility
    • Sets up and implement departmental strategy and plan along with company strategy efficiently.
    • Being in charge of new updating and implementing technical method/ standardizes/ software in the whole company 
    • Researches and develop the technical standard with latest standard/code.
    • Assures engineering department of the company strictly follows the technical standards (standard/code, Building code) and compliance with Local Authority.
    • Provides technical advice/solutions for strategic sales development and technical problem-solving strategy.
    • Organizes, develops, utilizes and allocates human resource of the department to ensure the department operates smoothly and effectively
    • Conducts periodical meetings with managers, supervisors, team leaders or other members in the team to ensure all projects are followed up on time with adequate resource
    • Plans, organizes and manages the work of subordinates to ensure that the work is accomplished effectively and high-quality service provided.
    • Conducts the meeting within department or related department to solve the problems regarding to technical and relationship between subordinates or with other departments.

    • Provides engineering expertise, guidance and technical advice to not only subordinates but other related departments in the organization.
    • Maintains, develops technical soft wares and provides training to staff to ensure optimizing the Design solution/ detailing solution to help the company win projects.
    • Participate in a research and development team as a key member to create, develop and deploy new products.
    • Provides engineering expertise in purchasing activity to help purchasing department having good updating of new technical knowledge on buying materials 
    • Control all activities of the department to ensure that jobs are delivered on time as per schedule.
    • Troubleshoot and develop solutions to products threatening situations, manufacturing deviations, quality investigations and client/customer complaints

    Authority
    • Has right to give warning, suspension to subordinates who dont execute the company regulations.
    • Has right to organize the department and subordinate staffs in accordance with the departments development plan.
    • Has right to suggest for staff promotion, request new manpower 
    • Has right to suggest for staff promotion.
    • Has right to accept or reject leave or permission based on the work load in the department

    Working Environment
    • Time inside office : 80%
    • Time outside office : 20% meeting with customers, consultants, visiting job site, factory

    Working Relationship
    • Internal: All departments
    • External: Customer, consultant 

    Requirements
    • Education/ knowledge 
    • University degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Experience 
    • Min. 10 years in Pre-engineering industry 
    • Min 5 years in management level from manager position upwards 
    • High degree of expertise in pre-engineered buildings

  • Skill 
    Excellent track record of managing teams; building capability, addressing any issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies & procedures
    Good math skill and logical analysis is essential
    Advanced knowledge of software using for engineering
    Good command of English 
    Good problem solving skill and decision making
    Demonstrable track record of delivering continuous improvement in technical
    Physical Requirements Good health
    Others Good communication skill
    Trouble shooting skill is required
    Candidates should have related Engineering background with at least 5 years management level in same industry nature
