Project Engineer for Rostock, Germany

Preparation of plans for approval by shipowners, classification society and authorities based on the client's contract specifications

Calculation and testing of insulation thicknesses, heat transfer coefficients, dew-point measurement and surface temperatures

Preparation of tender documents for supplier enquiries

Tender evaluation, coordination with suppliers and preparation of decision proposals

Coordination with other departments in the design department

Technical coordination with shipowners, suppliers and the classification society to ensure compliance with the ship contract

Construction supervision, technical preparation of submission to customers, classification society and authorities

Location- Rostock , Germany

Project duration- 1 year - extendable

Domain- Ship building

Required Candidate profile

• A technical degree as bachelor or master or an equivalent educational background
• Professional experience in shipbuilding and interior design
• Additional knowledge of other technical fields would be an advantage, e.g. windows, doors, locking systems
• Knowledge of common software, e.g. MS Office and AutoCAD
• English is essential, additional knowledge of German would be an advantage
• Able to work under pressure, good communicator and team player
