We are looking for a creative and proficient in all aspects of food preparation, Executive & Sous Chefs at Lamana Hotel, Waigani, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
You will be the chief and maintain complete control of the kitchen.
- Master of preparing all cuisine-Indian-Continental-Western
- Excellent record of kitchen management.
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
- Evaluate food product to ensure that quality standards are consistently attained.
- Must have ability to work in any kitchen with high volume production in fine dining restaurants.
- Must have comprehensive food knowledge, which includes cost control, menu planning, budgeting, inventory control.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities to kitchen staff.
- Will be responsible for entire kitchen operations, will be leading the kitchen team
- Cook and design authentic Indian and International dishes and expand the menu selections.
- Ensure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted costs.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Should have done hotel management or Diploma
- At least 8 years experience in similar job profile in 5 star or reputed hotels
- Good command on English both written and spoken
- Should be a team player
- Should be able to face challenges and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
- Ready to be relocated to Papua New Guinea
