We are a group of creative architects based out of the South Sudanese capital, Juba. We specialize in building & construction, commercial sales & leasing, residential sales, asset and property management and project management
Based in Juba, South Sudan, the Project Manager - Construction will be responsible for:
1. Oversee construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety.
2. Create and review Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal and Change Orders.
3. Ensure that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.
4. Provide technical support to Project Managers.
5. Supervise new property development
6. Scheduling and supervise renovation work
7. Bidding and shortlisting suppliers
8. Supervise properties security and caretakers
9. Coordinate design, cost estimation for new development proposals
10. Schedule and supervise routine vehicle and generators maintenance
11. Recruit, test, prepare payroll and supervise company tippers drivers
12. Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.
13. Perform change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations.
14. Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.
15. Assist in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors construction schedules.
16. Review weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.
17. Report the status of projects to business and market leaders.
18. Attend client program meetings as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelors or Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required
- 7+ years of project experience working in the construction industry required
- EIT certification preferred
- Experience with large Commercial facilities construction sites preferred
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software, preferably Primavera (P6) preferred.
