This employs around 2400 staff at six production plants in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Poland and Saudi Arabia. Some 1300 employees currently work at the headquarters in Lengerich; approximately 700 workers are employed at the Konzell plant in the Bavarian Forest. The shareholders are the descendents of Alwin Klein, who founded "Papierfabrik und Prägeanstalt Bischof & Klein" together with Hermann Bischof in 1892
